Location:School of Death
Currently run by Dworgyn after the former Professor Malistaire Drake crashed it into Nightside, the School of Death's colors are black, white, and gray while the gemstone is Onyx. This is where Necromancers train and receive Quests for learning new Death Spells once Malorn Ashthorn has taught students all that he is able. This School is one of the three Spirit Schools, along with the Schools of Life and Myth. The following description is courtesy of KingsIsle's Wizard101 website:
"Timor mortis conturbat me." (The Fear of Death Confounds Me)
The Death School will train its student wizards to steal and support themselves. Death Wizards belong to an advanced school, simply because most of their spells take multiple step combinations to use effectively.
Their spells aren’t the strongest, but some have the ability to absorb health from the enemy, which serves as a way for them to heal themselves. They have many preparatory spells that allow them to build up high-damage spells.
Death is about ending and closure. All things pass eventually, and time cannot be held back forever. Wizards devoted to Death Magic, known as Necromancers, understand this fact about everything around them and strive to face it without fear. They try to make the most of their time. Beware, though; some Wizards become morbid or try to cheat death through undeath. Necromancers use Whispers to strengthen their will, and draw on the power of courage to channel their own fears out of themselves and at their opponents. Death Magic sits between Ice and Storms, for the cold energy of undeath draws on those two forces.
Death Wizards are often Solitary, Driven, Brave, and Intelligent. Famous Necromancers include Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein and Ophelia. Death Wizards use drains, taking strength from their enemies and healing themselves.
Death is finality, the study of the corporeal. Practitioners of the Death Art, known as Necromancers, understand this limitation and strive to face it unafraid. Death's power comes from the removing of order from the universe at large. Withdrawing the power of order and allowing chaos to return instills Necromancers to bend magic to their will. Necromancers draw on the power of courage to channel their own fears out of themselves and at their adversaries. Death sits between Ice and Storm, for the cold energy of undeath lies between those two forces.
