Big changes coming to Wizard101 Central

Hello all,

The Central team and I are extremely happy to announce a few long overdue changes that will happen on Wizard101 Central in the near future.

New site graphics and functionality. The entire site look will be updated with new graphics to include a night and day mode along with improved mobile friendliness.





Server and software upgrades. The wiki will be moved to a new server with increased capacity and also have it's software upgraded. The forums will also be updated after the wiki upgrade is complete, first with a new server and graphics then different forum software sometime after.

We will be making the wiki "read-only" for a few days while upgrades are completed. There will be notices displayed for all visitors when we commence.

I am shooting for late this weekend to start the wiki move.

That's so awesome! Kudos to your dev team for re-hauling a massive UI for a better UX! I'm very excited to see these changes and can't wait to see what's in store, thank you for all your hard work Jester!!

This is such great news and extra exciting!

Central has been that special place I can visit over and over and still feel like I belong. I have often referred to "The Central Family" and I can't wait to see the new home.

A HUGE Thank you to @Jester and his team for all the years and work that have lead up to this event...I really hope and pray for at least an equal number of years to come.

I'm really hoping this new graphical upgrade to the wiki will draw in more contributors and I can't wait for a similar graphical upgrade to happen on the official forums as well! The W101Central Wiki was the original source of information for the game, the main source of information for the game in the present, and will be the best source of information for the foreseeable future.

I'll be sure to check out the site once you're done and give some feedback!

Can't wait to see these changes go through! I will miss the old Central thats for sure...

I as worried for a bit there that Central had been abandoned, hopefully this breathes fresh life back into the community!
