How to Give a Player a Panic Attack

Just now, I was switching between Wizards, and the character selection screen did NOT show my main Wizard, Victoria -- instead there was a Novice named Aaron. I switched to my Death and went back to character selection, and Aaron was still there. I closed the game and logged back in. Aaron was still there.

I sent in a Support Ticket and my next step will be restarting my computer. After I stop hyperventilating.

Then I get an almost immediate response from Support:

Good Gawd. That makes me uncomfortable. I was able to log onto Dylan today without a problem today, no Level 0 Aarons over here but honestly I probably wouldn't even have the feeling to comprehend the incredible fright that would make me feel if that happened to him. I've always been wanting to move away from that main status that Dylan has and spread out my "achievements" onto my other dudes but the gap between what Dylan has in comparison to everybody else is enormous.

I agree - of course it wouldn't be the baby wizard on the account who disappears. I can't bring myself to even click on this imposter as they suggest.

I know - the super fast response is the only saving grace for this situation. These visual glitches are getting more prevalent for whatever reason, so making sure that people know about them is important.

Good heavens!!!

What in the name of the Spiral has been going on with these enormous bugs lately? I thought I would be good to play again after the elixir drama was fixed, but now I'm scared to log on... I think I'll stay away a little while longer.

We're going to have a second Spring Update with all these these crazy bugs what need fixing up.

talk about giving a person a heart attack. I think that would have done it for me. Nice that they got back to you so quickly but seems like there are more and more of these "visual glitches". Makes me wonder what else is glitched out there that isn't just visual. Makes me nervous about logging in.

Another "visual glitch"! I'm glad it wasn't me I would've freaked out after losing one of my wizards. I'm sorry it happened to you though Willowdreamer.

So it seems every time they say visual glitch they mean it's a great big blooming error. It's getting concerning how many more major bugs are happening these days.

It's still VERY weird seeing this strange Wizard standing in my classroom, but at least they weren't wrong about it being my own Wizard when I click on him and then Play. So far, it's only been me that this has happened to here on Central?
