The issue with the Elixirs is not simply a 'visual glitch'. See this thread with details. The latest Posts #13 and #15 today from @bluedreamer explain items 'disappearing' from their inventory. @Sparck asked to "report them", so here it is.

Got a popup on one wizard that her 1-day mount's timer had expired. (It was in her backpack; not equipped.) I generally find temporary mounts to be a nuisance, but there are a several I've been saving for "special occasions" that are stored on a lesser-used wizard. I'm afraid to check anything now, either the backpacks or the banks!
