Fishing gear is back!

I haven't heard anyone mention this yet.

However, fishing gear is back! Yeah baby!

I do think KI needs to either restore Arena tickets to daily assignments, or change how people can get the fishing gear.

@Sparck @EricStormbringer You need to revise the pricing for these items, it's way, WAY too expensive and the players who want to buy this are largely not interested in pvp and definitely not willing to grind for this many tickets.

I have to agree with you. Maybe they could consider adding this gear to someone's loot table for those of us that don't care for pvp?

This is so unoriginal. They just put this back cause Ki is not using their creative minds. They just putting it back there because they cannot possibly conceive of anywhere else to put it and want people to PvP. But let I remind the company: Fishing has NOTHING to do with PvP. If you’re good at fishing, it has absolutely nothing to with how well you perform in the Arena. And vice-versa. The two activities are 0% related to one another. How difficult is it to make Fishing Gear purchasable based on Fishing Rank or Number of Fish Caught. How difficult is it to make the means of getting Fishing Gear by actually fishing and using Fishing Related resources? It’s so obvious, yet they do this instead. That speaks a whole lot about Ki. I want players who are fishing and enjoy fishing to get the gear based off of their own dedication to fishing, not switching to this incredibly different activity that they don’t even want to do. It’s wrong to force players to participate in something they don’t want to do.

But this is Test Realm and I should expect change since nothing is set in stone. Please consider putting the Fishing Recipes with Lucky Hookline, where the rest of the Fishing related things are.

I completely agree with everyone above me - Fishing Gear should be gotten from Fishing Chests, Fishing NPC's or even rewarded for reaching Fishing Rank Levels, unless Arena Tickets return to the Daily Assignment rewards table.

Ugh. I had so many tickets wiped out (I wasn't playing at the time and didn't notice the announcement), but I don't see myself PvPing again. I don't mind "cross pollination" so folks can get items from doing one activity for another, but there still needs to be a way for people who love fishing to get fishing gear! I'll add my vote to the stack. This gear has been sorely missed and there needs to be an alternate way to get it!

Also make the Fishing Gear tradeable! Even if this is where fishing gear ends up being, the idea of having to get that many arena tickets in one wizard and then starting over from scratch on a different wizard is appalling. This is just an unnecessary and unreasonable hardship players you're forcing players to encounter. It's seriously annoying and ultimately foolish. I don't understand and it makes me personally upset. All of my 5 wizards would have done every single quest in the game (before Novus) if I had fishing gear for each of them but since I don't want to PvP anymore, that's basically out of the question and I don't want to fish unless the wizard has fishing gear. My Balance has fishing gear and has done every single quest in the game, but he cannot send his fishing gear to my other wizards because it's no trade.

While I don't expect Ki to make something change because of just me but I imagine other players have similar problems and analytically, removing the No-Trade requirement in this gear set will have widespread altruistic ramifications that far exceeds the value of effort utilized in the action itself.

YES! I never understood why it was restricted other than that's the template for PvP gear. It makes sense that e.g., glendemming gear wasn't readily tradeable, but fishing gear? Weird.

Lots of great comments especially Dylan's.

Fishing tickets needs to be added for this, then we earn through fishing activities rather than PVP...IF Daily Assignments doesn't give Arena Tickets like before.
