Stormrider Mount, in the Crown Shop.

It is probably just me, but I am very sad that the Stormrider Hare has lost its meaning and significance.
@Lady Stormrider was a very special founding member of the Central Family. She spent so much time with charities and really was dearly loved by us at that time. She was so loved that Central was able to arrange the creation of the Stormrider Hare in her honor/memory and only available to Central members each year around Spring as a limited Raffle. That being said, if they must sell her mount, I wish they would donate the proceeds to Make A Wish (I think that was one of her favorite charities).

I am afraid I lost the link that tells her story, but if anyone knows it, please share it. I think it would also be great if some of our founding members could share their own memories of her.. @Jester & Olivia, would you care to share? There is so much our newer members could learn and gain strength from her memory.

The StormRider Mount is in the Crownshop?!?!

I'm wouldn't be surprised all too much by the assumption the current promotions team might have that the StormRider Mount is simply another mount created by the old Ki team and nothing more than that. I don't even know if the Ki Promotions team in charge of orchestrating the Crown Shop has any heart in them at all and are fundamentally reliant on the dollar like a typical capitalist (not saying this is true, but I have no reason to assume they're not because they have had several opportunities to tell us not but hasn't done so). If they're even slightly human, they would understand that profiting off those that have passed away is incredibly disrespectful and if anything they should make it as free as possible. While I don't know Lady Stormrider personally, I think she would have greatly appreciated the mount being spread throughout the spiral without a cost.

I think it is the lack of not knowing the true story behind the Stormrider Hare Mount with the newer KI employees. Perhaps, a simple note to @Sparck @Eric Strombringer might help. Just a thought.

Glad I'm not the only one that side eyed it, kind of gives off a bad feeling, but I believe ignorant is likely blissed tho what's odd I see threads that people weren't able to find it in 2019, or 2020, so I'm not sure of it's last dropped appearance:

As they seem to be claiming it wasn't dropped in the later Worlds; unsure if that was ever updated.

So for them to go and add it to the crown shop after it used to be A) Raffled for free, or B) Dropped for free seems poor taste even without context, because why succumb the new players to pay for it while we all have it? or could have gotten it, but with context it gives me an ache to the heart, I hope they think to donate any proceeds as a goodwill gesture.

But I won't blink twice if it just sits knowing the new bigwigs.

This seems the most likely story. KI has had a lot of new hires recently, so it's possible.

However, it doesn't change the fact that it's essentially monetizing a tribute to a cherished member of the community. This is in insultingly poor taste no matter how you look at it.

I wish that were the case, but for Easter last year, they put it in the Crown shop as well. It was brought up in a thread at that time how we felt, but they are doing it again.

I will also point out that, as much as I respect him, that when @Lady Cat passed @Sparck told me directly in a PM (Yes, I still have the PM) that KI never has done any kind of tribute/memorial item before. When I pointed out about The Stormrider Hare I never heard another word from him about it an no tribute was ever done for @Lady Cat.

I point this out to highlight that @Sparck WAS told the details of @Lady Stormrider at that time meaning that as far as the current "staff", @Sparck (Who is supposed to communicate our concerns) did know and we never heard back.

[B @Sparck, would you at least PLEASE let them know how we feel and get back to us about their response? Please go back and read the comments on this thread AND especially see the link to the thread about @Lady Stormrider herself. I think we...no SHE deserves at LEAST that much.

Our product and promotion teams take great care in trying to prevent these items from being used elsewhere, but sometimes one slips through the process. Our apologies for the mount making its way into the Crown Shop. We are working on removing it now and are taking additional steps to ensure this item doesn't find its way back into the Crown Shop again.
