Well if he has many characters named Quinn and several houses, could be that Quinn 1 votes for Quinn 2, Quinn2 votes for Quinn 3 and he keeps the voting going in a round robin till every one of the characters votes for all the houses. One way I can think of that he could get to the top.

I usually choose Gauntlets or Collections. Some castles that are listed as Decorated or Magical often have blocked entrances. I was in an Avalon Gauntlet one that had fences between the Gauntlets that kept the wizard in the specified area with no way to enter the other zone of the castle, no teleporter either, so no Rating.

Well if you have another account you can rate the other accounts houses if lucky. I imagine there are few mazes that are new. Now imagine if you have many free accounts able to do Castle tours. I recall a few years ago begore the "12 days of the spiral" codes clampdown hearing some players with double digit accounts for that, imagine if used for liking your own houses?

Speaking of blocked entrances to houses, has anyone else noticed, the Celestia crafted house seems to be blocked more than any other? I always think darn, is it blocked whenever I visit there.

I used to do Seasonal but in recent events I was finding too many houses I had to re-rate. So just go with decorated and had maybe 2 this time.

My friend has commented on the numbers of houses certain players have but I don't think there's a limit to how many you can list. I just added 13 houses and dorms, just to see what was possible.

      I completely agree.
I don't typically care if my posts are liked but I wonder if because of Kyle's post(a dev) right after mine it was missed?

It's speculation and very unlikely to be the case. Imagine rating that many random houses just to find your own house with that many characters to get an advantage. On the other hand, as others have pointed out....very few players like mazes. They are some of the more difficult houses to do well and players doing the rate a castle option are more likely to skip maze houses because it takes longer to get a rating/badge update/event point, since you have to find your way to the inside part to rate. Your chances of getting a higher rating in maze category is increased more than others. It's more likely this player knows this, created a bunch of maze houses on multiple characters to increase their odds to be the top spot (and they succeeded).

Re: Who likes Mazes this Much?

I definitely think it's sus to have that many; at most it should be limited to one per category, then per account and if they felt so inclined lock the IP down (tho that be can easily manipulated)

So at the end of the day when it comes to "odd" stand out-ish things like this, it should be up to KI to investigate, (are votes from same IP/emails/whateverelse?) and if so remove them from the ranking and issue nothing but a warning of course, but it does kind of risk ruining the fun for other decorators if they have unfair chances to reach the top.

No witch hunt request, but they should at least look.

I honestly don't think it's that far-fetched. In my own personal experience of rating only five per day for the event per wiz, I personally rated six of my own houses over the course of a week. Most of my listed houses are under the most packed category, that being decorated. If I can randomly come across my other account houses. What's to stop someone more motivated with multiple accounts? When rating homes you are far more likely to get the newest added and with few mazes, the odds on finding them are far higher. You can also stymie your "competition" by only giving them one star, which lowers their ratings.

I think you also underestimate people's willingness to cheat. From what I recall some players made upwards of 50 accounts for the 12 days of the spiral codes. I truly think someone would go that far. I know I'm delighted if I see one of my houses in the top 100. With the right drive and perseverance, how motivated could someone be to be number one or number one through seven!
