Yes, you read that right! For a limited time, you’ll be able to battle your way through Wizard City, Krokotopia, Marleybone, and more without a membership or purchasing the Zones with Crowns.

You can access the following worlds without a membership or purchasing them with Crowns during this promotion:

Wizard City

• Cyclops Lane
• Firecat Alley
• Dark Cave
• Colossus Boulevard
• Crab Alley/Deep Warrens/Wailing Caverns
• Sunken City

Aquila, Darkmoor, Wizard City Underground (Drains), and the Catacombs are NOT included.

Krokotopia

• ALL zones except Kembaalung and House of Scales dungeon zones (Four Dungeons side content)

Marleybone

OK, so I just got home from restoring an old 1953 house. I have been removing ancient insulation and installing new insulation. I check the posts and saw this. At first I thought I had inhaled some of the junk I was replacing!



This is one of the best things KI can do to promote the game. As a once a year event, it could be a real game changer for those on the fence about long term memberships, or new players as well.

This is long overdue. I have been a subscriber since 2009, so I will not benefit from this. However, this will bring in new players, even if they are only testing it out to see if they like it. It might even bring back some veteran players to relive their nostalgia. The only concern I have is the marketing and advertising for it. I fear that only a few will know about this promotion.

No matter what, I hope they realize they don't stand to lose much by making the first arc accessible to all. Who plays for the first arc anymore, anyway? I'm sure I speak for most when I say they are in later-game arcs.

I create new wizards for the first arc all the time. With all of the new early content, I have a few Level 30 wizards who are still in the Krokosphinx. The first arc has the benefit of easy-to-finish quests, short battles and a definite sense of advancement for those with limited chunks of playtime, as well as keeping the wizard in touch with Ravenwood and the teachers for new spells and quests.

While later arc worlds are some of my favorites to experience on my main wizard, I'm in no rush to get an account full of max levels who have little resemblance to the young wizards they once were.

Well me for one. I find it to be the most enjoyable and relaxing of all to play and am forever creating new wizards. When I'm not in the mood to be stressed about how to defeat some wildly cheating boss in the later worlds; I'm soloing one of my little wizards. I have a few max wizards but generally I'm playing on my little ones.
