According to the monthly calendar, the Spiral Scene starts tomorrow. If you still need any of your housing decorator badges, other than top decorator, make sure you enter a house Tuesday morning in that category. In the last event, my wizards combined for a total of 10 badges. Some houses, after earning a first badge, I removed and re-entered in the morning of the next day in a different category. And they earned a badge in that category as well. But not in the decorated category.
Unfortunately, the top decorator badge did not come through for some people. It's the category that had the most houses by far, and was the only one that even had a full 100 houses on the category leader board the morning of the first day. Too many houses all fighting for the same badge. You can give it a try, but if you entered a house in that category last time you might be better off just leaving that one on the tour and hope that as other houses already on the leader board fall off the tour you might move into the top 100. Just last week, a house that I had entered under the seasonal category last event finally picked up that badge.
Edit: I just checked now, Tuesday morning, And as of now, only Decorated and Dorm have a full 100 castles on the category top-rated list.
On the other hand, the houses I entered during the last Spiral Scene event are down to their last few remaining hours on the tour, so I guess leaving those Decorated houses on the tour isn't an option.

I usually just go to Dorms to rate houses, but sometimes when I get a lot of re-rates I'll go to a different category. Today, when rating houses, I picked Magical houses to rate. Magical is one of those categories that doesn't have a full hundred houses on the category leader board. So every house that I rated also counted as a visit to a top-rated house. I got event points for rating a house and for visiting a top-rated house at the same time.
To check, I did visit one decorated house to rate it. But it turned out not to be a top-rated house, so I had to make an extra visit to a top-rated house to get all the event points.
And sometimes, when I think I have things figured out...
So far, 4 wizards have each earned a category badge today. One of them even got the Master Decorator badge which, according to the wiki, is for achieving a top 10 rating in any category (for a house that was just added this morning). And yet,
One wizard had a house rated at #9 in the collections category:
But she's not the one who earned the Master Decorator badge. That would be a different wizard (In the same category, no less):
The first screenshot shows "Badge earned Master Decorator" (A little hard to see, it had started to fade). The second screenshot shows her houses, none of which are even in the top 100. Actually, not in the top 45, since that's how many houses are even listed in collections category leader board.
Edit: First day total - 8 category badges. Won't see that again, I don't have that many badges left to get.
Edit 2 (The next day): Now her Red Barn Farm does show a top 10 rating.

In regards to the previous post, I submitted it as a bug report to "customer support," with a link to this thread. I finally got a response:
What about it, community managers? A badge I clearly earned, A badge a different wizard earned the very same day in the very same category? And I'm not going to get it? "Additional research" is just another way of saying nothing is going to be done about it. I've heard it too many times.
Well, it's been a week now. No Badge, not even a response. Which is what I expected. After all, what can they say? Customer Non-support has already said it all. Once again proving that they "take customer feedback very seriously" is just a lie and one more nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned.
My screenshot above showed my wizard with a house rated at #9 in the collections category.
And yet, they "can't" give me the master decorator badge.
I EARNED IT. ANOTHER WIZARD GOT THE SAME BADGE, THE SAME DAY, FOR A HOUSE IN THE SAME CATEGORY. WHY DID THAT OTHER WIZARD GET THE BADGE, BUT NOT RACHEL DREAMWEAVER???
IT'S BEEN ALMOST A MONTH, AND NOT EVEN A RESPONSE FROM ANYONE AT KI!!!
BUT NO MASTER DECORATOR BADGE???
Edit: To Customer NON-Support
Don't bother with the line about "Submitting Multiple Tickets," that's pure BS since you don't do anything no matter how long I wait, and
Don't bother with the line about "Referring it to your developers," since they never do anything about any of my bug reports either, and
Don't bother with the line about "More visibility if ...." I'm not a member so I can't post to a member's only forum, and I don't do Facebook or Twitter. And how is that more important/visible than a DM to Customer "Support" anyway?
Oh, and just what do mean that you can't edit badge lists 'at this time'? You've done it in the past. It sounds like you could, you just WON'T. As if you have the technical ability to do so, but someone took away your authorization to it. And that plain stinks!
It's been well over a month now, with nothing done yet.
If it sounds like I'm upset with KI, you're wrong. To quote Mariel Hemingway in Creator, "Upset is how little old ladies get when their cake falls. I'm ..." (I can't complete the quote here or I'd get banned for inappropriate language.)
So what I'm going to do is start resubmitting this bug on a daily basis until my wizard, Rachel Dreamweaver, gets her MASTER DECORATOR badge. See screenshot showing her Red Barn Farm at #9 on the Collection Category top rated houses list.

Reason: Noteto Customer NON-Support
If you're like me and rating 10 houses a day because you're working on your House Rating badge, after a while you start getting a lot of re-rates. Not so bad this week, because a lot of new houses were added to the tour for the event, but sometimes I would get more re-rates than rate for the first time. Very irritating, and time-wasting, to wait for the timer to expire and find out that the current house is just another re-rate.
If you are in a house that looks familiar, like you may have already rated it, go ahead and and press "go to another house." If it turns out that you have never rated that particular house before, it will prompt you to rate the house before before leaving. But sometimes it will just let you go, meaning that you have already rated the house before and that this time it would just be a re-rate.
So I have started saving a lot of time and aggravation by just pressing that "go to" button as soon as I arrive at a house. Every time the game just lets me go, I know I saved time by not waiting for the timer in a house that would turn out to be just another re-rate.
I only do the minimum five during the event for each character. I have to say usually I do get quite a few re-rates which I agree is quite frustrating. Luckily this event has been far better with only a couple so far. I do like your idea though as it would save a lot of time. @sparkyflamefire
