Just for fun - Things that make you go "Ewww"

Happy Thanksgiving!....Kind of.

In my morning task of trying to wake up and get my brain started, I got my 3rd cup of coffee, warmed up a cinnamon roll (I made a fresh batch last night) and sat down to read the news and things (Trying to avoid as much negative junk as possible).

I came across this little tidbit of "Trivia" and thought it could be a fun topic for us all to share and discuss.

We never really know it until someone finds out and exposes it, I am talking about those things of all kinds that really do make you go "Ewww!"

Here is what I found:

Food colors...where do the manufacturers get their dye colors? Like those wonderful M&M's, how do they make them so red??

Cochineal (Beetles) insects are harvested, dried, and crushed up to create the "natural" red dye. In fact, it takes about 70,000 of these bugs to make 1 pound of red dye. The dye is even used in certain makeup products (like some red lipsticks).

I love my M&M's, even if I am diabetic...but now I just have to think twice.

What about you guys, what thinhs make you go "EEwwwwww!"?

Canned spinach. The slimy texture doesn't just make me want to go ewww but makes me want to gag. I don't mind fresh spinach in a salad or Spanakopita, but the canned stuff I find disgusting.

Another thing that makes me cringe is that stink bugs are used in recipes of some cultures. Just the mere thought of eating one of those sends shivers up my spine.

I have heard about they used Beetles for making red dye for food and drink products. That is pretty gross!

On a similar theme of things that make you go eewwww!

The people behind propagating the "climate change" hoax want to try and limit the amount of beef people eat, claiming cow farts are causing "climate change" believe that if you will… In any case they see a future of us eating insects as a source of protein. Ewww! That's nasty! Of course it'll only be the poor because the rich will just eat steaks etc.

Spaghetti worms. I usually think sea life is pretty cool, but when that poor critter almost dissolved in my hands, I wish I hadn't been curious enough to pick it up. Insides became outsides very quickly!
