shark tooth and star iron

There are a few reagents that I have picked up, shark tooth from a give-a-way code and star iron that I bought once in the bazaar.

I looked in in the wiki and saw where you can can these two reagents in game (aquila hoard pack, or forge interactive housing item), but does anyone know what they are used for? The wiki lists no recipes that they are used in.

I vaguely remember Shark Tooth being mentioned in some new Zafaria recipes way back then. But I think KI made a mistake, and they removed Shark Tooth and replaced the ingredient needed with something else.

And here is an older thread talking about the Star Iron: New "Star Iron" Reagent. Maybe that was a mistake too. ??

If you have a pet with Ice Scout, you can add Frosted Flax to your list of unused reagents.

I'm assuming none of the Novus recipes require these, but then that's a good thing considering how difficult it is to obtain these reagents. We don't want another Karamelle situation where it's "impossible" to obtain one of the reagents! As far as I know, I actually want this to have be useless because if it's difficult to obtain, then there's no point in making a recipe out of them.

I don't think you have to worry about them being in Novus recipes. These reagents have been around for awhile; at least, I got the ones I have a long time ago.


As for Karamelle reagents, I did accumulate a few. I forget now exactly what I was farming him for (maybe it was dazzling gems), but Uwe also dropped Karamelle chunks and Toffee Beans, and a lot of the rare reagents like Vine, Braided Vine, Amber, Amber Dust, Merle's Whisker etc., and Ultra King Parsley too.



Edit: It's been awhile since I farmed Uwe, so I just checked the Wiki. At one point, he must have also dropped Tatzulwurm spellements. Don't know if he still does, since they put all the lore spellements behind gold keys.

Why does KI put out promotional codes for reagents and then never introduce them into the game anywhere else? Again, this is something I got a while ago, not something new.

The Spiral Villains Hoard Pack was just released in June, 2022, so maybe we will start seeing it more often. Unless the wiki is wrong.

Interesting. But other than the promotional code, how was one supposed to obtain Paper Pulp? At the very least, the wiki needs to be updated to identify other sources.

I don't think there were other sources. At the time, I think they said they'd consider making it available to players who weren't able to acquire it, but perhaps it's been forgotten about.
