although fire had the most changes. like helephant can remove shields first then do damage. it looks like they want fire scion spell to work more properly. it's like about 10 changes. storm i just found out has four major changes . Calypso does damage plus a -80 infect on it. bearly spell does both damage and the HoT aspects. catalan can not put weakness on an opponent. and catch of the day now adds two blades to you after it hits. now i am waiting for news on the other schools. not sure if they are releasing them this week or next.

Fire changes grow further!
I like some, hate some. For instance, the extra damage on the new sunbird is nice and all, but I would much rather have the Dot extending effect. Couldn't they have just made some of these into a 3rd spellement path?
I really think some things could have been clearer - Calypso for example. At first glance, I thought "what the HECK why would I sacrifice 80% HP for some measly damage?????" and it turns out that the -80% is actually a hyper-strong infection. I sure hope I'm not the only knucklehead who thought this, lol.
These changes do not seem to affect me too much, but I can certainly see how other people could be peeved by these changes. My current opinion is that a few spells came out a little better off, like Krampus, but I'm still holding my breath until this update is pushed to Live. A lot can change between now and then.

Fire has been catered to for years by KI Personally I would love if it was nerfed, tired of being a second class citizen because I choose to play myth.
At least you can be vanguard in a raid, the rest of us are screwed because Sparcks streamer buddies use fires for vanguard, and the rest of the community are just sheep who follow along.
@Sparck, KI should consider removing every school but fire and storm, so the rest of use could stop sufferings this totally discriminatory community.
You're exactly right! Artie said that Storm and Death are the next schools in the audit. Then they'll get to Ice. Unclear on what the order is from there...
And to clarify, these Fire spell audits are not final. This is the initial review They're still reviewing player feedback and modifying spells as they go over the 7 schools. For example, we know that S'more Machine is being reverted to it's original 7-pip state. And they're considering more modifications on Raging Bull. But most of these audits should follow the "Roshambo" while also trying to avoid hindering typical PvE gameplay.
Keep an eye out for the next Test Realm patch. I expect we see similar happen to Storm.
