As a lower level, School Pips will slowly develop from regular "white pips"... In Test Realm, there are the "Any Level" Archmastery Jewels, providing a single archmastery rating. That jewel can be purchased from the Jewel Shop in the Shopping District! And in a future patch, a Pet Talent will also be seen (for those who want archmastery at before the jewel becomes socketable).
So now I need to add a jewel to be able to use spells I trained years ago*rolls my eyes* If only "Red Foreman" could have responded to this idea in development.

And it's correct to require a Death pip, that's how the audited lore spells are supposed to work, a Death wizard will need to generate and consume a Death pip in addition to 3 pips.

That would be nice, but it doesn't seem to work properly (I reported it). Fortunately, I was able to test the upgraded version using the new aeon amulet.

And I also think that requiring a class pip that's the same as your class is an oversight that I hope gets fixed (as in if you're a fire, it should ignore the fire pip requirement).

Re: Audit to lore spells (school pips)

I've been reading just about everyone's comments, and I don't think anyone has adequately answered an original question I had regarding school pips. @Willowdreamer responded to my first post and at the time was unsure and I am about this

For my deck setup with all my wizards, I followed a guide in here about secondary schools and went the route of making the bulk of my secondary schools with Ice to Tower, Death to Feint, Balance getting the blades and traps, Life to Fairy (for my 5 non-Life wizards)...but went and did Fire to Elf (because of Belloq in the Sook and Azteca). This on top of what the Dispel witch on Colossus Boulevard (getting Quench on all 5 non-Fire wizards) and Sabrina Greenstar teaches; as well as the Sun, Moon and Star enchantments. And last of all the Shadow spells.

So, if my school is Ice and I want to feint a boss for a younger person in the Spiral, I have to wait for at least 2 black pips in order to use it? This makes absolutely no sense at all.

I understand KI/Gamigo needs to take a look at everything in order to bring the future worlds and arcs into place, but this seems like it would extend gameplay and rounds with bosses, that would require multiple deaths and drinking a potion to return and hope you get the right school pip in order to cast a specific school.

Feint seems to have not been touched at all by School Pip requirements, so you should be able to cast it the same as you normally would.

For a spell that will require a School Pip, like Brimstone for example, you will now need 2 pips (or one Power Pip if you're Fire/have Fire Mastery) and one Fire School Pip. School Pips of other schools will not count for the Fire Pip requirement, but they can be used for the 2 regular pips/one Power Pip.

You're also able to choose what school your School Pips will be. You will be able to decide in the deck edit screen, and also there will be a button near your wizard in combat that also lets you change what school they will be (for that battle only, but you can use it free of charge) mid-battle.

Maybe I am over-complicating things, but this seems as if KI/Gamigo needs to put a discloser out for how to best utilize the school pips, since they seem to be replacing the regular and power pips.

They wanted to do this around the 5th and 7th years of the game, but it seemed too much a of a hassle, so they set it aside at that time.
