      Audit to lore spells (school pips)

      Oh God kill me now! The audit is happening to lore spells!

      It's much worse than expected the head honcho developer in his divine wisdom is bringing school pips into the spells. Just when I think things can't get any worse ratbeard, Says hold my beer. And you guessed it another change for the PVP community. Jeez Happy Saturday.

      Why can't he just bring out new spells so those that want to participate in this new school pips nonsense, can get them, not mess with pre-existing spells.

      Or maybe just make PVP only versions of the existing lore spells and ban the original from PVP?

      From what I've seen in Test Realm, the school pip thing isn't all that different from how we gain power pips at the moment. Using our own main school spells won't really change. It's only if we want to get wild and use the new Novus spells or a different school spell, that we need to try to get that other school's pips before casting.

      A Fire Wizard is going to gain Fire Pips by default, a Life Wizard will gain Life Pips by default, etc. Maybe this change will affect PvP, but it shouldn't make any difference to regular questing battles.

      Remind me, WHEN do we gain access to Archmastery? I thought it was a brand new thing we can only unlock in Novus.

      If so, then I do not think the inclusion of Archmastery in Lore spells is appropriate.

      I don't get why they don't just standardize all lore spells to our trained/quest spells we would learn from our teachers when a wizard of any level can learn them? Some of our lore spells are already like this and then you have spells like Headless Horseman who should be doing closer to myth damage on account of it's 5% lower accuracy instead of doing more than the Kraken spell. Why make things more complicated than they need to be?

      Yeah to me this is a big no-no. Any spells pre-Novus should not be audited to be "school pips" it just doesn't make game sense to me, as it's not a feature introduced until the world, and for two, it would just do anyone who learned an off-school lore spell dirty, with the intention of being able to just use their mastery amulets to quickly use them, now can't if they're not lvl 150+ to get arch mastery or?

      It doesn't sit right with me, leave the old spells alone, especially those without a direct level requirement.

      Anyone not life would have to wait for a an off school life pip / or two to cast pigsie? That's horrible, even coming from myself being life, they spent so much money/time to obtain those spells to feel like they're now going to be lowkey gatekeeped?

      **I've been advised the stat starts at lvl 50, even then though.. it's probably ridiculously low, and imagine being a new player not introduced to until 100 levels LATER? KI adds features so weirdly, where it's as if it should've been added to the game 10 years ago, not now. And tries to weave it into the meta, it's messy to me.

      Just weird.

      Isn't this false advertising by the virtue of the fact people paid good money for a spell, that if they change it, it's not what they paid for? Obviously I crafted every spell not paid through buying packs. But it's not what I put all my time effort and money(Membership, seeds etc) into creating for my wizards. Everyone who got the spells did under the pretence of a cost X amount of pips, bought school mastery amulets to use them if off school. Is this not fraud?

      I completely agree no old spell should be retroactively changed for something that is released in 2022. If they want to ban all Lore spells from PVP, then give them, everyone of the appropriate level, a free "new version", that's fair enough. But then you still left to go into the fact that players, In often cases spent an awful lot of money for lower levels to be able to use in PVP. I'd mention morality but we all know KI have no morals. They only reverse bad decisions if there's enough bad publicity from the right places… Certainly not from central forums.

      I see this as a good thing. Why?

      Right now in Test, a fire can use brimstone revenant for 2 power pips, even if you change pip collection to, say, storm pips. Spells of your class will use those pips as power pips regardless of what pips they are. You won't need to get a fire pip in order to use it because you're already fire (or if you have a fire mastery amulet).

      Now, what changed is that if you're a different class trying to use brimstone revenant for 2 power pips, you won't need to use a mastery amulet if you collect a fire pip. This actually makes it easier for people to use these lore spells of other classes.

      And for those that are too low to use class pips (level < 50), it will work like it does now in live. 2 power pips if you're that class or have a mastery. 4 pips or power pips otherwise.

      I hope that is true and IF so RB should have made that info available BEFORE leaking when things are not certain. For right now and until we know 100%, never bet against RB making this spell, a Fire(in the video) needing 1 power pip and one Fire school pip, no longer 2 power pips. Whatever happens it's poor communication on their part.

      I pray I'm wrong but the odds he'd make this change just for other schools seems unlikely. We'll know more on Monday after test goes back up, but my experience is NEVER bet against Ratbeard ruining something in Wiz. This appears to be another likely double down to force "dual schools". Remember ratbeard always knows best, even when the entire community won't adopt his changes.
