Have you experienced: The Mandela Effect?

There's plenty of evidence suggesting the possibility of this but the majority of it is based off of subjective experiences and falsifiable recounts of memory that can't be deduced as objective (to the point, people simply call this phenemenon as "false memory") but this doesn't discount the fact that people feel as though it were happening. Have you ever experienced the Mandela Effect before?

Signature created by Expelliarmus in Blue Nouveau Designs, thanks!

Speaking as someone who has had to deal with "suppressed" memories covering the first 20 years of his life, I would have to say yes; BUT you can never really be sure. My father swore for many, MANY years that I had been the "victim" of anti **** discrimination and physical violence by the police force and court system in Torrance, California (Late '70s); Yet to this day I have no memory of the incident.

I have found that this topic falls very closely to the age old question of "How do you know for sure if you forgot something IF it was truly forgotten?".

I would also point out, as a current example, the current political issues regarding what is or isn't fact is another possible of being the Mandela Effect. Even if it is false, if enough people believe it, it can become accepted as a truth regardless.

This seems to be a cultural phenomena that's not just driven by political agendas (although I agree with you that a thing now). I have had SO many "emperor's new clothing" moments -- especially at work -- in recent years that never used to occur. People will literally dub things facts in meetings if they are high enough rank or facts can be voted in if rank isn't a factor. Certainly this isn't a new issue, but it seems to me to be a lot more prevalent these days. Not a fan, but I'm not the beneficiary either usually.
