      "Raids have been disabled until further notice.

      We are aware of the Raid Gate activation issue and are looking into a fix, but it may take some time to resolve it. Players who try and interact with a Raid gate should see a "Raids have been temporarily disabled" message.

      I really hope there's a tutorial for these Raids. Relying on YouTube for players to visualize the mere basics of what to do and make the most out of their Guild's highly valuable keys is poor game design. Wait, does Ki make Tutorials anymore?

      Anyhow, out of the insane amount of information thrown at us during last week's Central Guild Meeting, one of our Guild Members (shoutout to Thomas and Madison for doing Raids in other Guilds to prep for our own) said that getting to complete the First Round of a Raid is lucky and the dropped gear for players who miraculously witness the completion of a Raid, the drop rate is unreasonably low and the stats have negligible difference from Merciless Gear (or something like that). The fact that the Raid Door won't open isn't exactly the problem I'm seeing here.

      If Raids stay as challenging and not-worth-the-3hours as it is now, I'd rather have the Raid Door stay closed and for Guild Members to move on to spending their Azoth and time doing better things. And don't go throw the argument that "oh if it's so notoriously difficult, then the Guilds who do join Raids should understand what they're getting into and how challenging it is" because it is unfair to the players that worked crafting the key (and/or the necessary Guild Crafter + TC) to be tricked by little information into doing something that is difficult, a bravery with practically no reward is insulting.

      The Raid drop gear is low, stats are negligible and (my personal favorite) absolutely no KI information or tutorial on any part of this recent update is completely KI as usual.


      It is comforting to know the more things change, the more they remain the same.


      Seriously, KI knowing the drop gear rate is low and stats abysmal, is par for the course for them but while this is going on to allow the players to donate so many of their Azoth to Guild Raids is not right!

      Tbh, it would be a worse issue if raid gear was better than Merciless. Because then KI would be forcing not only guilds, but raids "down everyone's throat whether they wanted it or not because now they have to do raids for the best gear."

      As for the drop rate, after doing several of them myself, I can definitely attest to it being pretty low. While I do get multiple gear drops each run, they're divided up among every school, and each school has two sets of gear (Void and Nullity). I would also be against it dropping only the gear from your school since so many schools are (currently) suboptimal for combat. It would give you an overabundance of players who could, or should, only do mana game. At least until people figure out a strat that makes non-Fire/Storm good at hitting so you don't need like 8 of those schools each run. There isn't really a good solution for the drop rate except for maybe giving each boss a chance of dropping multiple pieces of gear.

      I do hope that this overall feeling that Raids are the "be-all" of joining a Guild gets off-set by other Guild features that Kingsisle might be working on. I think Guilds need to feel a sense of community that doesn't involve battle and fighting over stats and gear.

      It would be nice if Ki could simply just tell us what they're doing at face value. I do sympathize with the frustration of being told to do something or complained about not doing something that you're about to do or already doing anyways, as though these people don't have patience. And I don't want to be the one that's simply impatient but again, I wouldn't know that unless Ki told us what they are doing. I complain all of the time under the assumption that Ki is not doing what we're asking them to do but this lack of communication forces the player-base to act this way because we just don't know what's going on at Ki

      Perhaps I was truly nave in believing that our Guilds would be something other than competitive and perhaps it could be! Maybe those of us who enjoy those different parts of Guilds should post why we enjoy them.
