      Frost Flower

I'm looking to garden for frost flower to transmute into grendelweed seeing as the bazaar is no longer a reliable source for reagents in general. What are your experiences of the best plants to grow? The wiki has these plants:

I always plant evil snow peas because they also drop an occasional ice blade!

I plant frozen fly traps they are easy, and if you do mature harvests you will get most of the seeds you need, if not, you can buy them .

I did grow fickle pickles for something back in the day but would not recommend, they get all needs so use a lot of energy.

Not sure boon trees give back a seed, I have only grown them for decorations.

Do you run an Ice Wizard? How often do you check your gardens? Do you plant to stack?
Evil Snow Peas are pretty easy to grow needs-wise, but they don't reseed as well as Fickle Pickle, which multiply like crazy if you do multiple mature harvests. Fickle Pickle will get all five types of needs, but they are small plots so you can fit like a dozen in a medium spell circle.

I'd suggest running a harvest route in Mirkholm Keep or Austrilund maybe to increase your supply when you aren't actively questing.

By the way, how much Grendelweed do you need?

I do have an Ice wiz but I'm not sure who I'll garden on yet. I will check my garden daily. I will be stacking if I need too, it depends which plant I go with. I don't need any grendelweed right now, I just like to have reagents ready for when crafting needs occur. So if I get gardening now then in a month or so if I need a lot I'll have it at hand. Thanks for the locations! I'll check them out.

I've gone with the Fickle Pickles and will see how that goes. Perhaps I'll try Evil Snow Peas as well after my EMP hit elder and frees up a stack soon. Thanks to all who responded.

      Re: Frost Flower

Fickle Pickle are pretty amazing overall. They drop a few TC's that are harder to find, and offer a steady supply of all kinds of reagents. They are also great for gold as they drop snacks that are a good source of gold when needed. I have been growing Fickle Pickle and Frozen Flytrap lately, mostly for Steal Ward, but the diamonds and frost flowers are great too!

@bluedreamer A bit late, but if you decide Fickle Pickles aren't as fast as you like,
      • I vote with @Sierra SeaSong and @RookieRecurve for Frozen Fly Traps. I farmed them for the diamonds a while back and they spew both frost flowers and diamonds and at that point at least, reseeded very well.
      • Evil Snow Peas are good, but would be my second choice. They don't always give you a reagent, but when they do it's a frost flower. It's more targeted.

I was actually just thinking about putting in a bunch of frozen fly traps myself

Given the current popularity of Steal Ward TC's, they are worth growing for that reason alone. That said, trading is dead on this site, but I imagine there is somewhere on this interweb where people still trade TC's often? Either way, I am enjoying my growing collection of said cards.

There are several outside platforms dedicated to wiz TC trading/selling. Yes people sell them for real money, Ratbeard even acknowledged this and stated it as a selling point for people to farm azorth and join the wiz black market.

It was in the last guild round table, kind of shocked me to be honest. The bazaar is being farmed by bots so people profit, and KI is somehow okay with this? Even the reagents are being botted now, its kind of sad.
