Throwing a Tournament?

I need 300 more arena tickets to buy a fish tank from Roland Silverheart before the Test Realm ends. Note: I have never PVPed or participated in a tournament. (Actually haven't even done PvE for a few years.) So how does this work? Apparently I can't start a tournament myself? I only see a list of various ones to join, all scheduled for specific times. And what is the crown cost per reroll?

I assume I should go for 1v1. But won't this irritate the other participant, who may be expecting a genuine competition? If I don't make a move will I get kicked out?

Practically you log out every time a match starts and wait a bit, grab a snack to eat lol then log back in. Idk why those cool housing items have to be locked behind pvp stuff (assuming they'll make a return in the Arena in Test Realm), well I do believe PvP players should have incentives but incentives that are PvP related rather than housing items

So that won’t kick me out of the match? How long do I need to stay logged out for?

I think the reroll cost goes up, like a second chance chest.

Thanks for the link to that discussion. The comments are mainly from people trying to get participation trophies. (Which ironically, I have in abundance from daily tasks and can’t use, since Revered Crafting is storyline-locked.) Still not really an explanation of the process.

So the reroll starts at 849 crowns for non-members?  Is it possible to get tickets from just the starting match, (which only costs gold), if I deliberately lose? And is there any restriction on how frequently a new match can be entered for gold?

If I join an upcoming match, do I have to be there when it starts? Once it has started, won’t logging out just bump me out without any rewards?

Sorry for so many questions; I literally don’t have a clue. If I end up spending crowns, I want to make sure I don’t inadvertently waste them.

UPDATE: Well, that was easy! I joined a 1v1. Forgot how to log out while in a battle, so I just kept passing and waited to be defeated. Clicked "enter arena" for additional rounds. Ended up earning 650 tickets, all for 50 gold, no crowns required! Heh heh, this could get addictive.

Yes! Although from the little bit I’ve been able to gather, the ticket amount tends to be kind of random. Didn’t really know what I was doing, so I just stuck it out until all the rounds were finished. (I still don’t understand how people are able to log out during a tournament and get tickets.)
