Question How are stats from gear applied when using prism?

When using the prism spell to convert damage of one school to its opposite, which of your school stats get used? For example, let's say I'm a necromancer and I've got some robes that give me +10% death damage, but no life stats. I cast a death prism and then a death damage spell. Does the +10% damage get applied?

Damage buffs are applied in a certain order. As far as I can tell, the chain goes like this:
Base Damage > Critical > Blades > Traps > Pierce

Let's say you use a Life Prism. The chain of damage would look like this:
Base Death Damage > Critical > Death Blades > Death Traps > Death Prism > Life Damage? > Life Blades > Life Traps > Pierce

Using Prisms and their opposing buffs is a popular method of obtaining the One In A Million badge, since you can essentially apply a second round of buffs! Anyways, I hope this helped explain a few things. Good hunting!

Do you mean Death Prism, which converts Death to Life?

Would a life damage boost get applied as well if I have gear that gives life stats?

      No.

Let's say you use a wraith without an enchantment, and with a 100 death damage boost. That wraith would do 1,000 damage. If you use a prism on a death enemy (or storm in arc 2 worlds) and it has a 30% boost to life. The wraith would now do 1300 damage. If there was no prism and you hit a death enemy with that, his 40% death resistance takes the wraith down to 600 damage.

Now then, if a life with a 100 life damage boost and 0 death damage boost were to train wraith and use it, the wraith would only do 650 damage due only to that prism and the enemy's boost to life.

You could think of it like Hydra. Balance damage is applied to that spell even though the hits are fire, ice, and storm. As long as the card you use is trained from your school, that school's damage stat will be used.
