Unhappy Disappointed with the "stove" spell

I was looking forward for life to get Potboiler as its much needed 4 pip AOE for solo questing, only to find out it is a single target hit.
I don't how how others feel about the new stove spells, but I do not see much [if at all] use for them in PvE

Not all spells have use for PVE anyways and these are spells people wanted for PVP so it makes sense..

I agree that these new spells aren't going to be too much use in the grand scheme. But, I like to put different spells into my deck just for variety. I get tired of seeing the same attacks over and over, so new spells are nice to have just to make a change. Also, I don't mind defeating one enemy at a time - perhaps ingrained over the years that Life wizards need to play that way if they aren't teamed up with heavier hitters.

It's kind of like our companions in Pirate101 - many people only use their same three favorites over and over and over and over and moan and groan when they get defeated and can't be used. I play random, so I always have variety and replacements available.

Hmm I actually didn't think of using them that way, pretty smart!

It's just that I had high expectation for Potboiler being an AOE finally allowing life wizards to quest faster rather than single hitting enemies for waiting for Forest Lord

Thumbs down Re: Disappointed with the "stove" spell

I dislike that Storm, Fire, Life, and Death all got these generic Golem spells. The shield utility does not mesh well with these school's identities, and KingsIsle didn't even deign to keep the AoE aspect of the Life and Death golems!
These spells to me just represent a futile attempt to balance the game by making every single school a carbon copy of one another. It erases the unique aspects each of the 7 schools should possess, and that's just sloppy design right there!
