Thank you for the info! The "increases" seem a bit skimpy to me though. I look forward to seeing what else you find.

I really hope they drop through other means! I'm excited that you said you got some from Life Moon seeds. I hope that's the case.

That being said, 4 upgrades for a 10% boost? That's so many spellements. Krampus is only 2 and I think that's an acceptable amount, especially considering it too is obtained through farming. 200 spellements is plenty. We shouldn't have to farm for weeks just so we can have a slight bump in our spells.

I hope we can use this Test Realm to voice our concerns that it shouldn't cost 685 spellements to upgrade a learned spell to Tier 5. (720 if you haven't learned it yet).

Added a couple more spellement paths! Maybe once I find them all I can actually sort them out in a better order than "Whatever I find first." And yeah the upgrades seem pretty lackluster but at the same time why are they making Pigsie even stronger, please, no, stop.

Fwiw it seems that all School Beastmoon seeds drop them, but the school matters. I got all 3 Spirit Golems from the Life seeds, but none of the Elemental ones. Balance seeds might drop them all but with an unwieldy drop pool that makes farming for one specific thing inefficient.

And like I said in the above part of my post, yeah it does seem like a major grind to get these spellements. I harvested like 12 Life seeds (during Double Gardening!) and barely got any Spellements, so I really hope they drop elsewhere. I don't mind the boost being so small, because, again, WHY ARE THEY BUFFING PIGSIE, but the effort is way too much for this.

      Re: New Spellement Pathes

Nice, this is good news. It's nice to see Beastmoon blossoms (and Beastmoon in general) giving some rewards that are useful for the main game. The only thing really going for it previously was a small handful of certain valuable TC from a few of the blossoms. I have a big stockpile of moonstones that I haven't been using since I didn't have a ton of motivation to grow more blossoms outside of replenishing battlecoins, so it's nice to have something that will make blossoms more worth crafting and growing again.

It does sound like they could up the drop rates/amounts or add more sources for them since these go all the way up to tier 5.

Edit: Logged on to test on my Life to get a shot of the Ratatoskr's Spin upgrade path.

After a bit more harvesting, I can definitely agree on upgrading the droprate moreso than I already have. Having only harvested 12 Life, 3 Balance, 3 Fire, and 3 Ice (with Double Gardening up), I barely got any of the Life spellements. Only 2 of the Life Golem, only one Infestation. Oddly enough I got more of the Vermin Virtuoso (3).

On the bright side, Balance benefits from being able to get spellements from ALL of the School Seeds. I got 10 of the Balance Golem and 4 of the new Iron Curse spellements.

So, originally spellements were supposed to be a mean to customize the deck, by chosing different paths that would open different options to enhance the cards.

AAANNDD guess what, here we are again with the plain linear updates instead. Always stronger, always harder.

      Re: New Spellement Pathes

Looking at the new Spellemental paths and spells I'm left with some questions:
      1) Why are they linear & not split like all others are?
      2) Why is Pigsie getting a buff when it's perfectly fine as is?
      3) Why are the buffs themselves so small?
      4) Why name changes for the spells when the current ones work just fine?

I hate to be "that" person but I have to 100% agree, these linear paths defeat the very purpose as to why I saw spellwrighting to be a feature worth having, if it's just adding a grindy path to simply add minimal damage, or boost the same stats it's just adding a "Pay 2 win" (Win faster**) model for them to get the whales involved in cashing in to get the strongest tier possible the fastest, while the rest of have to spend x amount more of time subscribed to grind said area or crowns for that specific area of boss.

Meh to me, having new spells that were originally TC's trainable is cool, but beyond that these updates I find dimly lit in my eyes. Unless they overhaul the whole system (E.X of course reducing it's grind and adding more than the 1 path) or B) Making it so the currency for upgrading is just training points that we can then have an abundance more provided through quests etc) I don't see it being in our favour. IMO it just adds onto the "Longevity of grind our end game -" which isn't real content.

      Edward sky/Life/102/
And may the odds be ever in your favour.

Thumbs down Re: New Spellement Pathes

There are a few ways to get these new spellements. The first is by winning matches in both Beastmoon events, where you may either receive the spellements directly, or a recipe for crafting the spellements yourself!
Wait, so what's the second way these Spellements can drop? Please tell me it's not limited to Beastmoon and Skeleton Key Bosses.. Honestly KingsIsle, when will you make these PTW reagents widely available? They shouldn't be locked behind complex events or RNG heavy bosses, especially when they have five upgrade tiers!

I thought that Decius was planning on improving Loremaster and Spellements, any idea when that will happen KingsIsle?

Anyways, here are my thoughts on the new spells:

      Vermin Virtuoso
It's balanced with 4 Pips, though I don't see the Bubble effect as being in line with the Myth school

      Elemental Golem
This spell is seemingly well balanced and is appropriate for the Balance school!

      Pigsie
This spell was fine as-is. Rebirth is more deserving of a Spellement path, what with KI rendering it utterly useless by increasing it's Pip cost!

      Grendel's Amends
I still doubt that this spell will see much use because of it's high Pip cost. This would have been the perfect opportunity for a split path- you either get great healing for 5 Pips, or less than mediocre for four!

      Ninja Piglets
This change is strikingly arbitrary, and will serve to make this spell OP in PvP.

      Iron Curse
This spell is only gonna see the light of day in the Arena, and honestly? It's too OP- for the measly cost of 4 Pips you can keep shields off the entire enemy team for three rounds! This isn't befitting of the Balance school at all, and should be removed.

      Stormwing
I'm not sure what the "+25" means here, so I can't really comment on it. I do wish that KingsIsle would stop being so dang vague in their update notes- it shouldn't be up to us Players to decipher every addition!

      Spirit Golems
I'm lumping them all in here. I think that the Myth and Death Golems could stay with a slight nerf to the shields, but the Life Golem need to go. Defensive ward utility originates from Thaumaturgy, and so it should be watered down for the Myth/Death schools.

      Infestation
Nope, get it out of here. Life doesn't have a damage bubble, and it should stay that way.

      Naphtha Scarab
This spell feels somewhat balanced, though perhaps the Accuracy could be fiddled with a bit.

      Glacial Golem
Again, this spell is not befitting of the Fire school. Pyromancers are more about damage and DoTs, not shields!

      Thieving Dragon
This is what Angry Snowpig should have been! I'm glad to see this spell make it's way into the game.

KingsIsle really should focus on making Spellements feasibly obtainable before introducing more Spellemental Spells! And once that's done, they need to read up on the definition of "school identity," something they clearly don't understand.
