      Spring 2021 Test Realm

      "There’s a fresh spring aroma in the air, and it’s not just Nana baking cookies over in Karamelle! To celebrate freshly cut grass in Wizard City, flowering fields across Aero Plains, and those yummy Karamelle cookies, this year’s Spring Update is now available on Test Realm for all subscribing wizards!

      This update introduces new items, events and event rewards, and improvements on many adventure systems. A couple of new skeleton key bosses also await you. Need a friendly guide to explore it all? We’ve also added new social systems (with more to come) to help you connect with fellow wizards.

      As always, we appreciate your feedback on all the new content during Test Realm. Please report bugs via the in-game interface and in the official community forums. You can also post any feature suggestions and any other ideas you may have in the forums.

      sooo i see i need to play Deckathlon for a wand stitch.... well thats just wonderful not like i hate the event

      Scroll of Fortune Beastmoon event points capped at 800, guess they found out you can grind the scroll out with the event why not limit it to all events

      ok, capping beastmoon scroll points at 800?? that's ridiculous. i know i always see a few people in the arena, first week of a new scroll and they have the teleport effect already, but come on. i was hoping they would make some of the other events have an unlimited point aspect to help people who hate deck and beastmoon, and instead they are limiting beastmoon.

      i know you can still finish the scroll in 2 months if you play both types of beastmoon, but i like to pick one wiz to focus on each beastmoon. sometimes getting to 1500+ points on that one while still getting at least the lunari reward on my other 6. i've been leaning on that, and now will have to change that up. i just don't think this is a great change.

      and grinding loremaster is over with the new kiosk change - i used that to get to 2000 teams helped on my fire wiz. now high levels won't be able to help there through the kiosk, so no team up credit for it.

      Looks like Life got a minor blessing in the form of a buff to Minor Blessing: from 65 to 120



      It doesn't look like any other healing spells have been changed outside of some spellement upgrade paths for Pigsie and Grendel's Amends. The change to blades was also applied to the 0-pip Guiding Light charm which now gives 35% outgoing healing versus 30% in live.

      First and foremost, in order to address creeping game-balance and school disparity issues, all Blades have been standardized to +35% (a slight nerf for some schools) and all Traps have been standardized to +30% (a slight buff for some schools). Balance blades and traps, because they are universal-type damage and easily stacked, remain at +25%. Similarly, all global damage spells (aka “bubbles”) have been standardized to +25%. Treasure Cards for these spells are largely unchanged, but TCs whose values are out of alignment with these new standards will be marked No PvP.
      What the heck, KingsIsle. School blades, traps, and bubbles are all supposed to be catered to their identity! Ice, Life, and Death receive 40% Blades because they deal the least amount of damage. The extra percentages help compensate for this, or in some cases like with Storm, it balances out their naturally high base damage.

      So much for the Devs focusing on school identity!

      That's literally all I was thinking about while reading that change. AND the damage / resist limits, hurting high damage (fire/storm) and high resist (ice/life) builds. I'm in support of a resist cap, but the inflection points (espeically damage) are easily achievable at high levels.


      Also, pierce blades were buffed from 10% -> 20%. Pierce bubbles were unchanged. Precision got buffed 10% -> 25%. Hex is still 30%, despite saying 25% in the update notes. Someone mentioned minor blessing got buffed to 120. Elemental traps are still 25%.

      I couldn't find any changes to rank 1-4 spells at all. Not immolate, steal charm, disarm, nothing. Weird approach from this spell audit.

      I'm not sure I get where you're coming from - this is focusing on school identity.

      Previously Storm had more base damage than Ice or Life, but it got a weaker blade which meant that Ice and Life could 'catch up' a bit in the damage. Now, Storm retains its better base damage, and it can keep that lead over Ice and Life since their blades affect them all equally. Ice and Life are supposed to be weaker hitters, so why should they get a stronger blade? If anything, Storm should get the stronger blade so they can be the absolute best hitting school!
