Return Shadow Magic Back For PVE

I'd like to see the separation of Shadow magic from PVP and PVE. I know I keep banging on this drum about change for PVP effecting PVE, but again Ratbeard's problem with Shrike was how often it was used in PVP and his goal to greatly lessen it in PVP. Largely speaking I'm finding there's not a great use for shadow magic with backlash for the high costs of usage, with no way to avoid the severe costs associated with Shrike, Seraph etc. I'd love to see it return back to where it was for PVE, being a valuable tool where backlash could be avoided by making the right moves. Personally I found it especially useful for my Ice as I quested but given the option of now nerfed Shadow hits I would find it even more appealing as an option for all schools. As a healer my Life has no use for Seraph now after doing a good job healing ending with such a large chunk of health gone too.

Re: Return Shadow Magic Back For PVE

I'm sure this is gonna happen......... in the FUTURE. Remember that each 10 levels is going to implement something new to the wizard that will make them stronger. I'm sure one of these will probably involve increased shadow rating or something like guaranteed shadow pip first turn, something that will make getting two shadow pips easier and faster which will make things like Shadow beasts a lot more favorable. Perhaps increasing Universal Resist to around 40-50% EXCEPT FOR SHADOW SPELLs will increase the likelihood that players will opt for shadow school spells instead of the traditional school spells.

Just wait for level 150, or Level 160, even Level 170 if the game lasts that long.

Be Patient and eventually shadow spells will become the new meta...

Kingsisle definitely needs to separate PvP from PvE in order for this game to continue, I don't even wanna get into any further arguments about it because I (should) expect this to be the case
