The connection between black cats and Halloween is certainly not a new one. ... In the Middle Ages, it was a commonly held belief that witches could disguise themselves as black cats, and these dark felines became associated with witchcraft. In fact, many witches in Europe were burned at the stake alongside their cat.

It just goes to show how ignorant they were. I mean, come on, all cats (Especially black ones) are far superior than any human and would never get into or cause bad luck or trouble..

I like that it's flannel weather, the musky scent of the woods, time for soups and stews, the grass has pretty much quit growing, fall apples are ready to pick at the orchard, hot apple cider with cinnamon and of course hot chocolate and marshmallow cream tastes so much better.

One thing I don't like is having to get my first load of fuel oil for the season LOL.

All your choices are the same for me! I would also like to add watching the children collect the fallen leaves for their home art projects.

As far as the hot chocolate, aka hot cocoa you reminded me that it is time get my equipment and start making this years hot cocoa bombs! I also make them with white chocolate and some are filled with coffee or various cappuccino/espresso mix instead of cocoa...muahaha.

I love hot cider. We have a cider mill nearby that makes it onsite.
It has no preservatives and isn’t pasteurized, so the taste is incredible. It needs to be kept in the refrigerator and consumed promptly, but that’s never a problem!

They also fry their own doughnuts and you can get them warm, rolled in cinnamon and sugar.

Wow, it’s 10:30 pm and I want to go there right now.
