The last couple months have been crazy. With the power finally restored, we have moved forward on the house we are renovating:
A couple of before still with old siding (Ancient thin aluminum):
And now a couple after/during. new siding complete, just needs pain, gutters and new rails:
I will start sharing more over the next few. My point is that no matter the challenge, you can do anything IF you believe in yourself.
Yesterday I was working on the interior, pain, plaster, etc. Got home late, had late dinner and fell asleep in front of TV. Woke up in the same chair, still covered in plaster and paint, LOL
Have faith in yourself and no matter what, have a great day!
Nice job on the siding. I hope you don't get too much snow in your area. That shallow of a pitched roof I think the snow would stick to that real good. I'd hate to have to get on the roof to shovel off the snow.
Looking forward to seeing pics of the interior.
Oh yeah, that's me as well waiting for the coffee to get done perking.
Thank you! Actually, while we can get a lot of snow, it usually has not lasted long. When that picture of the new siding was taken, we were still working on other issues. One of them was regarding the very roof issue you mentioned. One of my team members was able to install a roof warming system just in case of large snow build up. We still meed to finish the "fancy, pretty, nice nice stuff" such final trim, pain and gutters. When that is complete,I will share updated pictures.
My next set of pictures will be of the master bath they tried to create in 1987 when they did an addition. The bath measure 10' x 12'...and what I did has made the neighbors jealous. Actually, the neighbors have started upgrading their home now that they know how to do it for a small fraction of what people think. In the last year, the crime rate which was not bad has actually dropped 25%! Part of our program is to help promote community growth by setting an example.
We also set up neighborhood watches, monthly meeting with the local Police patrol to join in and meet everyone.
The personal satisfaction of these projects is priceless. and one of the few things that keeps this old man going.
Happy 94th Birthday
