This worked wonders for Celestia. I will have to remember this for the next update. Lunababy, just go to Start>My Computer. There is an address bar at the top. That's where you type in the folder location. Hope this helps.

When I understood how the game updated and patched the files, I once tried to copy the program files on my thumbdrive and transfer them to another computer to avoid downloading everything again on that one. When I logged into the game on that computer, it didn't have to download anything, which is good for our limit, BUT it still had to "patch" everything which took almost just as long; I guess it needed to set all the targets for files for when it scans.
But I didn't even think to mess with transfering test files to the live folder cause I thought they would be so much different with all the updates KI makes.

This might also work the other way around: if you're downloading the test relm for the first time, just copy all the live files to the test folder, and it'll just have to update the ones that are differnt.

I already copied my Wintertusk Wad files to my live realm folder so i am all ready to go once they update the server tomorrow.
I wont have to wait.

Long time bump. (yes, I realize that might be against a rule here)
Anyways, I tried copying from live to test for the first 2013 test realm. Yay no more waiting ingame for most stuff to go through the spinner icon!
Since they are not adding a new world, I will not copy from test to live when it goes live.
