UPDATE- We had a great time, even though I got defeated two times! We all received plenty of gold, along with 3 Cow's Pearl Amulets. Amazing tempests from Tim, even through Earthquake! Thanks again for your help!

For some reason I was lagging, so I occasionally joined the duel circle a little late. Otherwise, this was a great run!

Retirement Letter

Hoarding Halfang has grown to be more than I ever expected. When I started this thread 2 years and 3 months ago, I thought, “Hey, this’ll just be a summer project.” Well, that summer came and went. Then a couple months turned into several more. Before I knew it, Hoarding Halfang had been around for a year. However, that first year is primitive compared to how we are now. With the help of a dedicated team, we were able to start holding contests for everyone on Central to participate it. We started with a simple crossword contest, but didn’t stop there. In February, the “Halfang the Heartthrob” poetry contest was quite a success. This July, we held a caption contest which received more than 40 outstanding entries.

What’s my point? Hoarding Halfang has become more than just a farming group to me; it has become a big part of my life. I’ve met scores of great wizards during my farming adventures. I care about this group a lot, and I regret that the time has come for me to take a break. I will certainly not be gone from Central altogether, but I will no longer be in control of Hoarding Halfang.

I care too much about this group to let it fade away. That’s why I’m happy to announce that Vanessa Mythdust, a long-time Assistant and very good friend of mine, will take over my post. BlueGhost04 is retaining her post as well. In addition, we’ve hired five new Assistants who I’m sure will be excellent friends and allies during your gold farming sessions.

I’m sure that under Vanessa’s leadership and with the excellent team of Assistants around her, Hoarding Halfang will be around for a long time to come. I’ll let Vanessa introduce you to the new farming team.

Wow...amazing how things change.


I remember when I first found this group, I thought it was really nifty and everyone was so helpful. With my various derby hatching needs, I soon found myself visiting and requesting almost every single day. Most of my runs were taken by Falling Emeralds and I had a complete blast on each. Sometimes it's tough to make farming Halfang fun, but this group managed to do it. Every single run I went on, there were smiles, jokes and of course TONS of gold!


On July 20th, 2013, I was completely shocked when I was asked to join the Hoarding Halfang ranks. I know I had requested a lot, and had lots of fun on my runs, but I never for a second thought that I would be asked to join! It was a great surprise and I accepted in a heartbeat, Hoarding Halfang just seemed like a really fun group-and I can tell you first hand that it is.


Like Falling Emeralds, it's been a pleasure to see this group grow. When I first joined Hoarding Halfang a little over a year ago, it was a great farming group...but that's all. Since then, I've seen it expand in so many great ways beyond just a farming group! I was there when Hoarding Halfang held its very first contest and very first farming event. I've been there for the laughs, the tears, the EVERYTHING! Being a part of something great is awesome, but being able to see and even shape something into something bigger than anyone ever anticipated is even better.


When Falling Emeralds told me he was going to retire, I was shocked. Falling Emeralds has been a great leader and an even better friend. Hoarding Halfang would not be where it is today without him. I was honored when he asked me to take over this amazing group, and I have some very huge shoes to fill.


Falling Emeralds-I'll never look at this group and not think of you or what you have done for it. Thank you for all that you have done. Hoarding Halfang will not be the same without its cat burglar!




With that said, I'd like to take this time to welcome our brand new assistants to the Hoarding Halfang team! All five have survived (and suffered MUHAHAHA) what is known as Hoarding Halfang training and testing and passed with flying colors. They're very anxious to get started and I know they'll be great additions! Please welcome....
