Update to 18+ Open Chat

Although i agree there should have been prior warning, some of you guys and girls need to take a deep breath and chill for a second. Ok so yes they took away your open chat. It's not that big a deal. You still have filtered chat and typing a little extra to say a number never hurt anyone. Also, you can live without wizard 101. It is possible.

Most those I see complaining are those that will lose open chat because they dont meet the STANDARD requirements that have been in place all along (they have been taking advantage of a bug, now fixed).

The issue here is most likely a matter of legality.

Utilizing a creditcard, directly ties an account to an actual individual (responsible party for creditcard). Should any inappropriate actions be commited on the account, they have a legal means of identifying the responsible party and taking action.

For those paying through other means, this is not the case. An 8yr old can buy a giftcard, create an account, say they are over 18, and gain inappropriate access with no means of verification.

KI is just covering themselves legally.

Those saying KI will lose money from quitting players, have never had to pay a lawyer to defend one's self (or their company) against over zealous parents that think KI should be protecting their children.

Everyone needs to calm down. I'm one of the people to lose open chat but no need to say that your going to quit. Just use your credit card if you enjoy playing the game and having open chat. They do need money to update and all that so this was a ok thing... I just wished they put a little warning. but anyways, If you pay once and have open chat then what is in it for them? They do need money to get stuff, just remember that guys and girls.

I loved open chat you can say allot of faces and more with it So why get rid of it? Its really great if you are a horrible speller (me) and its a fast way to speak in PvP because of the time limit you have in a turn. I bet allot of people are mad even some of my friends are. So please Kingsisle make everyone that use to have open have it again?

KI did see fit to fix a "glitch" in their system, it is their system after all!

If it cuts down on rudeness in the game I am all for it.

The only issue I can really see is less reporting may be done.

I am hoping that those who sub via gift card still have their report button visible as not many realize you must ignore and then report if you are not a subscriber.

and another thing if i had some warning i would have used my credit card instead of my gift card i used the other day for sub, i would have used the card for crowns for maga snacks, thx a lot ki that was ignorant to not give any warning

Ok, Ok I know its not my job to criticise or agree, but whats the big deal?, am being serious what is the big deal about having a filter its not exactly the end, its just chat, I mean most of my friends are filtered chat anyway so my open chat is useless, and I rarely even use open chat, I have it, I speak but I hardly ever see the yellow text in what I say, I mean you are all sitting here claiming it is bad move or it is ruined the whole game for you or even to such a extent you have quit, well to be completely honest I feel that is self-fish, you are sad about something you really don't need, if I lost my open chat today I wouldn't care I am sorry if am just talking rubbish, but I feel that we are all complaining and fighting over something which really doesn't matter, even if it did why give up a whole game because you have lost your ability to spell incorrectly?, and last part of it is most people used open chat as a way of swearing, even though it is 18+ doesn't make swearing fine in any game, I know not everyone swears but when I see people swearing in groups etc it drives me mad that probably nothing will happen to them as punishment.

Sorry if you don't agree but honestly I don't see the point of arguing or getting upset over something as small as a filter

And if you are really this pained over the loss of it why not suggest it as buyable with crowns? wouldn't hurt to ask

cant KI doing something good for once like srsly they mess everything up and this is lame i mean you paid for a sub you should get open even if you lose it i think this is a bad part on them so whatever this game is getting wrecked
