Update to 18+ Open Chat

Ahhh if only! I was in Stormriven the other day and several people ported in to one player, the rudeness was of a level I have never seen, all via filter chat! I have a year sub so I won't lose my chat status, but I will miss having real talks with my friends. As I too will have to learn that spelling dance for my friends without it now. So it's not just the people losing the ability this will affect. I hate typing one hundred for tea when describing the stats on a pet for instance!

On topic (not directed at boxedset): I just have to say, I am astounded at how angry people are, and how immature they are being about it. You're gonna quit because you don't have open chat anymore? Honestly, you'll ditch a whole game over chat? People saying it's bottomed out just because they don't have open chat anymore, wow, really? Sounds to me like a bunch of people need to learn that sometimes there are changes in life that you don't like, but have that you just have to get over them and move on. Imagine how people will be acting if a boss denies them a raise... (I shudder at the though) :P *slight sarcasm, but over all I'm serious*

most people just get on to talk to their friends not quest and level up they talk and have fun and make videos for you tube and stuff and just having fun not being serious and leveling up doing quests. most people just get on to talk and have fun not level up for a virtual number

I don't care anymore because I'm a crowns player. Although, I do hold a grudge for the sudden move. However, that doesn't bother me much.

Way 2 Go KI, I have several accounts quite a few in the past were yearly subbed! I have 1 that was paid out in crowns and actually purchased a monthly sub to open the open chat feature. Good thing I try and stay to myself and not communicate with most other players.

and another thing if i had some warning i would have used my credit card instead of my gift card i used the other day for sub, i would have used the card for crowns for maga snacks, thx a lot ki that was ignorant to not give any warning

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to Wizards 101 and I really do love the game, the one thing that has nearly caused me to leave a few times and lose interest is the Chat, it is very frustrating. I understand why there are restrictions for speaking, we do need protection for the young ones against any predators out there, and as frustrating as that is when you are trying to explain to the kids why you can't help them, etc I understand they do have to be protected.

I'm an adult and the filtered chat was really annoying until some one explained how I could have open chat, since then it has been great, I do subscribe so I have no problem with it being removed, however a few of the people I play with are going to find it hard once again to chat to me.

I'm sorry but this is the first time I have ever heard of having to pay to talk. Not good and if this is a sign of the times I would say that KI might be losing a few more people, it is just plain greed, nothing else. Having chat options for protection is one thing but this move is not for protection it is one of the most silliest things I've come across.

I also subscribe to another game called faunasphere which have no restrictions on chat at all and with your subscription you also get a few "bux" (equal to crowns) to spend each month, if you want more you buy more, simple. It's a great game for the kids and adults also love it, but still I do love Wizard 101 and am now on that more than the other. But that may change in the future.
