I can see the point of view from people who used to sub and had their open chat still open to them, as I am one of them. I had 2 yearly subs for 2 accounts and recently switched over to crowns seeing this would better fit me and my families playing style. I will miss the open chat, however seeing there really is no real advantage to subbing (especially if you dont PvP) I can see why they, KI, would fix this "bug". It is another way to entice people to "lease" the game as opposed to buying it(crowns). As for people saying they will quit the game for something as miniscule as this, KI has done and will probably do worse things then this. I guess I will need to get myself reaquianted with dictionary dancing once again.

Well, see just because I'm taking a short break from the game doesn't mean that I don't log on once in a while and talk to my friends. If I entered a valid credit card number when I got my first subscription from the main site, then that is enough confirmation to have open chat. I still don't see why it's necessary to have a subscription in order to have open chat. I get the "subscription features" thing, but this is just silly. \: Does Kingsisle like to see people talking weirdly just to fit words into the filtered chat? D:

Honestly i don't see why people are like i'm going to quit now i lost my open chat to but that doesn't bug me its just more fair for people who have to PAY monthly instead of people who just buy all the areas and then don't have to pay UNLESS they want more crowns its more fair this way for subscribers.

These "benefits" for the way you pay have always been there, KI is just choosing now to start enforcing them.

its not like you cant talk any more, you can still talk fine, and nicer than before as the filter is a really good thing imho

will cut down on the rudeness in game that everyone is complaining about i believe.

I dont want this sound rude, because that is not what I want to to be.
But we are living in a world were money and jobs are very hard to come by, and doing this to people most family with kids is a very bad move.
Now let say someone started playing as a crowns player and there father get layed off, but dear mom had a job. that kid could still have a way to leave that world and come play here. And if mom so happens to have a extra 10.00 they that boy could have a little more fun forever.

I wish you all at KI would please rethink this, and think about almost all American family's.

Okay, this is for 18+, why would a kid have open chat? Bad argument dude.
Also, this is just open chat dude, seriously, calm down. All it is is open chat. At least people who don't pay or buy crowns once a month aren't Menu Chatters only.

I actually have not lost open chat and i will probably start paying for a subscription. If i have enough money to buy a prius yesterday i can spare some change on wizard 101. However, i am saying it is a bad move for kinsisle as a business because people will be angry, and they will lose customers. Also, it isn't fair to give us no prior warning.

Okay, I misunderstood your post, and I do agree, no prior warning isn't fair, but then again, life isn't fair.
