Craftable pets?

Pet talents seems to take a specific kind of intellect that I seem to lack. It isn't that I am unwilling to work my tail off, it's just I don't understand it. I really don't think there should be an easy way out to the perfect pet, but I do think there should be an alternate way.

What if there were craft-able pets?

First, for these pets, there would be recipes for each base. 100 amber, 20 vines, you know, something just hard to get. Make it complex so that if you knowing what you are doing, hatching would be easier.

Second off, make these pets no hatch. They were crafted after all, so the no hatch restriction is a logical trad off. Plus, this keeps pet training vs crafting relevant.

Thirdly, add in pet motes to craft with. You know, those pesky things that are hard to get?
5 kinds. Will, power, strength, intellect, agility.
These however, in the recipe would be different. There would be a minimum and a maximum amount required. Each mote would be worth 10 xp. To craft a pet than, it would take something like 15 will, 12 intellect and so on. However, it would also be able to take up to 26 of the motes to max out the stats on each. The more work that goes into the pet, the better it will be.

Fourth, for the talents, you would simply get 6 jewel slots. That means the pet would be no trade once it had any talents added to it. Yep, that means forming 6 jewels on each wizard with a crafted pet.

Fifth, I think leaving the pet training in to level the pet up to open the slots would be fine here.

I think this would be fair for those into pet training but also help others who simply don't understand the mechanics behind getting the perfect pet.
