Dys/functional adventures

I'm a musical person. That doesn't necessarily mean I sing well or play an instrument (As much as I wanna learn bass guitar). But there's one thing I've always done that I've tried to have people make sense of over time, but I actually don't know if they actually know it about me.

Thing is, I listen to a lot of music that sends different messages. Ones of love (Ring of Fire, Dear God), ones of hate (Trashed and Scattered, Bye Bye Beautiful), ones of sorrow (The Game, Crimson Day), ones of grief (So Far Away, Tear Upon the Rose), ones of celebration (Endless Forms Most Beautiful, Darcy's Donkey), and all sorts of others that have different messages of all sorts.

If I send you a song, I don't want to say something that I know I should or need to say because either I'm too nervous to say it, or I want nothing to do with the situation so I get out of it. If I write the lyrics to a song and send them to you, that's usually a sign of anger and aggressiveness that may ultimately pass. Because glitter!

Anyway, what I'm saying is that if I send you a song in an unprecedented manner in the middle of a conversation with great emotion, I'm asking you to take the time to listen to it and interpret the lyrics into what I'm saying, or at least trying to say, to you because I know no other way to say it.
