Big Malistaire Problem

I'll tell you what's stupid: Today I was fighting with my friends, Malistaire had ONE pip and then he used Meteor Strike!? Now I know some pip costs on spells have changed but the attacks are WAAAAY outta control. It's like Malistaire is really gonna take over the spiral, seriously. Btw, I accidently used a sword attack on Sylvia when she showed up and it did 300 damage and I swear, I didn't have any blades on my character. OVERPOWERMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :nono:

I for one, will be one of the 3 million if this dont get fixed. I mean, taking the fun out of a game, get real! Why play a game, that is no longer fun? Makes no sense at all.
Thing that gets me upset, how the bosses can cheat and we cant, now how is that fair? MAKE IT FAIR KI!!!

Bet you 5 bucks, (Not for real) That KingsIsle will start getting mad at what they have done and the players will quit probably for RuneScape or World Of WarCraft. When W101 came out, I heard TONS of people went back to World Of WarCraft. Think people will leave Wizzy101 for WWC? (World of WarCraft).

Seems likely if you think about it. X_x I would quit for ToonTown gosh it wasn't as hard as Wizzy101. I mean, seriously people.

Thats what I'll probably go back to, I'll dust my old games off and play them again, at least they can be enjoyed, and I know they wont charge me a arm, and a leg to get beat down for it. SHEESH!

Totally agree. Me and my friends used Giant on a storm lord, other on Power Nova, other on Fire Dragon, and left him with 10,000 but he used Scarecrow and multiple meteor strikes it was crazy!

i have no problem with the increased health, seemed silly to me that his health was as low as it was before. i DO have a problem with the use of pips the way they are now. it is a turn based game with the rules being the same as other turned based. EVERYONE should have to follow by the rules. what kind of example is this setting? the "bad" guy gets to cheat and win, while the rule following "citizens" get the beat down. is that the right way to show the youth? cheating gets you places? i think not, if i lose fair and square, congrats, you bested me this round. dust myself off and try again, way of life. but to be beaten by means of cheating, that doesnt sit well

That is the main reason I am thinking on giving up my accounts. And to think, I used to think KI was teaching children some good skills by playing this game, math, typing, reading, etc. Not after this new update they arent.

Okay...I've waiting all day before posting anything on this subject, because honestly, I had to get my emotions under control first. Let me say that while I have fought Malistaire a few times before the update, I haven't since the update.

I look at this issue in 2 ways, first and foremost as a mother who's child plays the game, and then as a player myself.

As a mother as I can say is that I'm more and more disappointed in KI. First there was the out-right lie about raising the level cap (which is all I will say about that here). Now there is this out of control boss who is attacking out of turn and without the proper means to make those attacks (pips). W101 talks about showing kids how to work together and fair play, but now they are showing them that it's okay to cheat? I don't think that's right at all.

Now as a player myself, being that I am already upset with KI on other matters, this thing with Malistaire is just crazy. The other times I've fought him, I didn't think he was easy at all. While I did think that I could effectively fight him because I had LEARNED how on my journey through the worlds of the spiral, it wasn't easy. But it wasn't exceptionally hard either. So if there was an outcry to make him harder, then okay...lets double his health to 20,000. Or hey, just cause it sounds good, we can go up to 25,000! But 100,000? And not just the increased health, because maybe, just maybe, if that were all, it might not be next to impossible...but no, he attacks seemingly at will, using huge hitting attacks even without the proper number of pips. Does that mean that if I decide I want to cast the Triton (6pips) in my hand instead of the Storm Shark (3pips), even though I only have 4 pips, I can? I doubt it, because the games programming isn't going to let me. So why can he do it?

IMO, it's not fair to anyone that everyone doesn't have to follow the same rules. W101 is not my usual kind of game, although normally I do play a lot of games. I briefly played TT, but only for a couple months. Before I started W101, I had monthly memberships at Big Fish Games, Shockwave, Real Arcade, and an annual membership at Pogo for several years now. Within a week of starting this game, I knew I was hooked like never before, and I could picture myself playing happily, creating wizard after wizard after wizard, for a very long time to come, so I cancelled my Big Fish, and my Real Arcade memberships. Up until this latest update, I could still picture that. Now I'm wondering if I should consider switching back.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'll have to think about it, and see if KI addresses this issue with Malistaire. Thanks for listening! The opinions stated here are my own. While yours may differ, you are entitled to them; just as I am entitled to mine!
