Big Malistaire Problem

Well I was helping my little brother defeat Malistaire today, and once we got to him we came across a problem. He had 100k health, and his attacks were waaaay out of proportion. Now I heard about this happening on test but I didn't know it transferred to the live realm also. All four of us died when we were about one fifth of the way into it.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but if it's not and they just decided to make him more complicated, I think it's HORRIBLE. This is a kids' game, it's not supposed to be challenging to the point that it makes you rip your hair out and cry. My brother was looking forward to getting to Malistaire for so long, and then he had to face THIS? What's going on here? Just because people said they wanted more ofd a challenge?

Anyway, has anyone else came across this when battling him since the update? I just want to know what's going on with this.

Several bosses across the spiral have been working on there battle skills and have become much better at battling.

There are ways to make the battle a little less difficult, some of which we learned on the test server. Some I believe we still need to discover.

When you went to fight Malistaire, did you battle the Gurtok Brothers, or did you skip them?

Did Malistaire have his minions with him?

Did Sylvia Drake, show up to the battle? And if so, did you kill her?

There are many threads in the test server section of this forum, that might help you figure out what makes the battle easier.

This isnt a bug, alot of the bosses have been changed.

Well we fought one of the gurtok brothers, skipped the other. I think I'm starting to get it now...is this like the Hall of Valor in Grizzleheim, when you have to fight the other guys to make him less difficult?

No Malistaire didn't have his minions.

And yeah, sylvia showed up, we killed her, then she showed again.

Just a bit of advise, Sylvia Drake helps the wizards. If she is defeated, Malistaire becomes more angry then he already is, and .....

Well you get the point.

Yeah, we noticed that Sylvia was helping just before we killed her, but by then we had already picked the spell and she was gone. When she came back it sort of looked like the weaknesses she put on him were making his spells stronger, but we weren't sure.

my friend and I just ran into the same issue. We did kill both gurtok brothers but skipped everything else and yes we killed sylvia by accident as we were unsure at first she was there to help us, Our hits were taking off alot but not like his did. There were no minion with him

There is a thread or two on how to battle him. The trick is not to kill sylvia. Also, make sure you have an offensive life guy on hand. The others just spam fire shields and heal. The life guy attacks and if sylvia is there, he recieves about a 4.5 damage multiplyer on his attack. This can mean HUGE damage from a centaur, if done properly.

All of the end bosses are

Lord Nightshade, Krokopatra, Meowiarty, Jade Oni, and Malistare
