PLANO, TEXAS (Sept. 10, 2009) – Wizard101, the magic-themed Massively Multi-player Online game (MMO), is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month. KingsIsle Entertainment, the maker of Wizard101, is proud to announce that during this time more than five million players from around the world have registered for the game. As part of the celebration, several decorations are being added to the game in September as well as a special surprise for all players.

Wizard101 combines the social interaction of online multi-player games with a parental control system that allows adults to restrict communications options for younger players, while allowing more freedom to older players. These safeguards, combined with the no-cost, downloadable distribution model have resonated with consumers looking for new ways to have fun on a budget.

Wonder if they are going to offer crowns at the fountain outside Merle's place again. That's a lot of players.

I was here when I think there was only about 1,000 or more members. CONGRATS!

Congrads to KI for reaching the 5 million member mark, and to Wizard Central for helping to make that possible. I remember when there was only around a hundred thousand members in the game and now there are so many that it's a party every night.

That would be great. If I had 1200 Crowns right now for free because of the 5,000,000 Players, then I'd be a happy Pyromancer! :D
