Why does it load slowly for one character and not another?

My son and I both have Wizard 101 accounts. We play on the same computer using the same game, but when my character moves from area to area, it only takes a few seconds to load. When his character moves from area to area, it takes 30 seconds to a minute to load. This happens every time. We have a good connection and there is no lag in gameplay for either of us once we have gotten through the "loading" screen when you go from one location to another. I put us in the same realm and am using the same game settings. Any ideas? Thanks!

Most of it depends on how much stuff you have ie. equipment, loot, treasure cards, time of day, server status, etc. I have the same thing happen to me. I have a Grand Master that has a lot of treasure cards and he take 8-10 seconds to go from level to level. But I also have a Storm lvl 15 who can go from level to level in 3-4 seconds.

Thank you. That makes sense. My son keeps a lot of treasure cards and items and I tend to use up my cards and sell my unneeded equipment. I'll see if he can get rid of some things and see if it helps.
