This is a guide on how to install Wizard 101 on multiple computer or install the test realm. Following it will save you a lot of time and KingIsle a lot of BandWidth.
If you are uncomfortable with your computer breaking down or going up in flames then don't try this. I have had good results , but if you aren't used to doing things like this it can be dangerous.
First you need a copy of the main game. Fully updated to the point in the game where you are at.
This can be found in(on a computer it is already installed on):
(WinXP)=C:\Program Files\KingIsle Entertainment
Within that folder you will find a folder named:
#1Copy the "Wizard101" folder to a flash drive (or similar device).
#2 On the second computer make a folder in C:\Program Files on xp or C:\ProgramData\ on vista named "KingIsle Entertainment"
#3 Copy the Wizard101 folder to the folder you just created.
#4 download the the installer from the main Wizard101 site and install it on the computer you just copied the folder onto.
[For test realm users only]
#5 Make a copy of the Wizard 101 folder(that is on the storage device) and rename it "Wizard101 Test".
#6 Move this new folder to the C:\Program Files\KingIsle Entertainment Directory on a xp machine or the C:\ProgramData\KingsIsle Entertainment\ on a vista machine.
#7 Download the test realm installer and install it.
If I managed to list the directions properly , and you do them correctly , then the next time you start up the game it will do a consistency check on all the files then it will allow you to play the game as usual. The next time you play the game it will just do its usual file check before you can play.
Don't ever try and install the test realm in the main game folder. It may seriously mess things up on your computer.
Never install over another installation. Uninstall that installation first.
Thanks to IronHawk's thread for the paths on vista. Makes the guide harder to read yet more accurate.
