      Mana/Powerpoint/Pip ratio

I've been working on my Fire school for almost 15 levels now and I'm having some trouble with the ratio of 0 to 1 to 2 to 3 point etc.. spells. My wand seems to give me too many 0 spells but I don't do as well without it. I often find myself with things 80-120hp left and my firecat seems to finish them off very well but if I had a better ratio would it even be neccessary. And I have a ton of cards that are so conditional it's not worth putting im my deck unless I'm having a particular problem. Does anyone have any ideas. that might help.

      Re: Mana/Powerpoint/Pip ratio

Deck construction is highly conditional. Try to figure out what you want to do with a deck build then put in only what you need to accomplish that goal. This insures that you are more likely to get the cards you want as soon as possible.

What I do is generally have a deck for regular enemies and one for bosses. Most of the time as your walking around you will have the normal deck equipped and only switch before a boss fight.

I frequently run around with no wand equipped in lower levels as it does tend to throw in a lot of 0 pip cards that your going to discard or use instead of what you wanted. Once you get higher level and you get staff/sword that provides an extra pip or two at the start you just put up with having to discard (although later you get hit with weakness a lot and having a wand to use to get rid of it is helpful).

For the normal deck just look at what monsters you will be fighting and add only what you need to defeat them. Mainly I look at the amount of health. If for instance your in krok land and most enemies have between 150 and 300 health then put in whatever attack cards you need to reach this lvl of damage. Since these will be 2 or 3 pip spells you will want 1 or 2 0 pip spells to use while building pips. Put in enough cards to kill at least 2 monsters since that will be the minimum you will face alone. If you don't have reshuffle then add enough from a third monster just in case.

Bosses will be slightly harder with more health but uses basically the same deck. Just add in the extra trap or blade spell and your done.

Use the conditional cards when called for, if fighting fire boss and your fire, you'll need convert, etc. The only time it may be worthwile to equip a wand of your own damage type (fire damage for fire school) is when your fighting monsters who are the opposite school. These mosters frequently use shield against the element they are weak too and using a wand to drop it is much better than doing only 60 damage with your big spell and wasting pips.

In short don't try to stuff in everything, most fights you see coming so just put in the minimum cards you will need for the fights ahead. And unfortunately there will just be some cards you will almost never put in your deck and use.

      Hope that helps.
