In years past there used to be a "guild-like" group "wisened wizards" that would meet at Unicorn Lane. I had been away for awhile, not sure if that is still a "group" but I could see spawned off groups like that from here.

The way I see it, any Guild or Group, such as Wizened Wizards, is only as active as the members make it by participating. I'm not sure what the game will encourage when this Guild format arrives in Wizard101, but I would think that any Central social group that already exists could find a way to use the tools made available by Kingsisle for their members. Wizened Wizards was created early on as a group where adult players could find each other, for questing help, advice, etc., Nowadays, many young players have grown into adulthood and still play but use other platforms for communication.
Having a "Central Guild" might be too non-specific -- if you are a member of a Central Group, I think that all of our Groups will be looking at how to enhance in-game activities by using Guilds.

I think under the conditions a central member can join the Central Guild is trickle down the problems of having a Max Number of the Guild. I don't think it is reasonable to assume that just anybody could join the Central Guild just by making an account here, they must have done something within the site or something within the wiki to be able to qualify to join. Something like "must have 100 posts or more" is something that could attribute to the participation of the site, or "must have done 100 edits or more" to attribute towards the participation of the Wiki. While I don't know the specific statistics of the site and how many players qualify for that, which could give a context as to the conditions for acceptance, but there should be stipulations to make sure the Guild is actively doing what it's sought out to do rather than just having lurkers, well lurk in the Guild as well lol Not saying that players have to do something in the Guild though but helping each other out in some capacity is at the heart of Central itself.
That's just a preliminary thought though, somebody will create a thread about conditions and qualifications when the Guild update rolls around. We will also have a thread for "Terms and Conditions", something that community members will have an active say on and discuss at length to make sure everybody is on board and feel comfortable being there.
Maybe the Guild will exceed over a hundred members but Idk not over a hundred members are actively posting on Central, Idk how many editors frequent the wiki but I would assume it is not as many as that would fill the hundred seat capacity. Whenever, eventually it might, happen, I'm sure we can reach somewhat of a compromise as to following steps.
And this is all considering that there is no way to increase the maximum members of the Guild, which is reasonably unlikely, since its something that would sell and probably sell well. Central definitely has the means to get that extra space if it is necessary.

Hey everyone,
Hate to hijack this thread but hopefully THIS answers some of the questions folks have been asking -
A Central Guild!
Look forward to hearing what everyone has to say!

Sadly it will have to be sanctioned and run by the site. We could form a guild of like minded players here though of course.
I really thought Ki was going to quickly make a "Expand Guild Member Total" Elixir for Guild Owners, without a second thought. It would be a legit easy way for Ki to make A LOT of money and I would believe the W101 Community would crave for this too. Like it's sooo... obvious. Maybe too obvious, maybe it's something Ki will just dish out "when it's ready" and we're just too impatient for something that will happen anyways
I don't doubt that W101 Central will quickly maximize the Guild Member total for a Central Guild. Though I do think we will eventually have to deal with the problem of max number of people, an expansion elixir may signficantly help with that problem.
