Origin of your Wiz name?

Not sure I ever saw a thread on this. When I joined back in 09, my son was 10. He was like hey mom, make a myth wiz they look cool. OFC he made a fire.

The only thing I knew about myth was they had minions, which made me think of the sirens summoning the sailors to their island, hence SeaSong.

On my first and still my favorite character, Jonathan is my real first name. The Greenflame bit, that came from the Harry Potter movies when they used the flue powder.

Dylan was random... WindWalker sounded cool. I cared a little more with my Life's name for rhyming with Valerian (a cool name) JadeBlade. My Ice was trying to copy Dylan's name with the double Ws with Scot WaterWielder. My Death, I was gonna do another rhyming but I found Seth DreamDreamer and thought that was funny because it had two of the same word. I did rhyming again for my Storm with Lucas LightBright.

For my last wizard, I'd like there two be two of the same word like my Death but I don't think that's possible. Would have been nice to have two of each naming schemes though

I was young when I made my first wizard and didn't want to use my real name (even though it was on the list), so I went with Amber because I liked it. I don't really remember what made me choose Dragonblossom, but I guess I liked how it flowed with Amber and went with it.

A long time ago when was 50yo, I decided to stop lurking and become an official Central member I made a bit of a goober. For my name, I literally used my last name and first initial...not a very smart thing to do.

After a month, @Willowdreamer held a contest to give one person a chance/forum gold to change their name.

I was the lucky winner and true to my totem animal, this Pegasus was no longer bound by the labels of society, and thus I became "Pegasus Unbound", but all my Central friends and family just call me Van (Which for some reason can not be said in W101 or P101) or Nate/Nathaniel in game since all my wizards share the same first name.

Seth (my name) Shadow (Shadow the Hedgehog) Cloud (Cloud Strife), Paul Lifesong (a Casting Crowns song), Blaze Dreamstalker (self-explanatory), Ian Soulsinger (Ivan Soulsinger), Devin Windwhisper (Daren Whisperwind), Logan (Wolverines name) Starbloom (I liked the name). The rest I picked just cause I liked how the names sounded together (Seth Emeraldflame, Seth Ghosthaven, Terri Ghoststone, etc).

when i first joined . I used the name Liam as in the original name for Angel in the Buffy the Vampire series. this first name is used for all my male wizards except my death which was named after Sam Winchester of the tv series Supernatural. and all female wizards are called Lindsey after actress Lindsey Lohan.

All my wizards have Cole as a first name because that's me. As for the last names,

Duskhaven is because evening is my favorite time of day. As it turns out there's a town in World of Warcraft named Duskhaven, but I did not know that until after I chose the name. I didn't ever want to play WoW because it looked like sensory overload, and now that Blizzard is Bad I have even less reason to play it.

Dreamcloud is my Ice, chosen because of the lore about how Frost Giants would build castles in the clouds. I didn't want to take the entirely uncreative route and name him Cole IceSomething.

Starglade is my Death wizard's name. It's mostly unconnected. I might've been thinking that Death is a dark school or something, and then chose Starglade because stars come out at night. I think it's a nice name, just doesn't really reference the school.

Ironmancer is my Balance, and this one's pretty obvious. He's here to blade. I picked Ironmancer over Steelmancer because Balance blades are weaker than other schools' blades. The "Cole Ironman-cer" thing is completely accidental.

Titanblade is my Storm. He's named after the Supercharge spell, but in hindsight I was being a bit of a goober here. But really, he's named after Supercharge!

And then Wyrmhorn is my Life. Another unconnected name. I think I might have picked this because at the time I named him the Wyrm type was new to Yu-Gi-Oh!, and I had thought that they were "Dragons but cooler." I don't quite remember.

Many of my wizards start with Ian, as that is my IRL name. Lionstalker was my first name that I picked for myself, and it just sounded good, so I picked that. After that, I named several of them Ian ______stalker. On another account, I chose Tarlac Starpants because it sounded like a quirky name, and I am still rocking my Splendid pants, which have stars upon thars. Other than that, there is a few that were random-generated that are pretty awful, but have been around so long, that I would never want to change them. My Central handle is indication of my level of expertise with a recurve bow.

My Life wizard's name is Tara WillowBreeze, meant to reflect both Life and Storm. At the time, I had what I thought was the brilliant idea of having Storm as a secondary. This, in turn, was a reaction to the disastrous career of my beta Storm wizard, Alicia StormSinger. (Needless to say, Tara eventually bought back some of her training points.)

Fiona DragonFlame (because dragons are fiery!) was meant to be my power wizard, because hey, at least Fire got some good AOEs early on. But she kind of got left behind because of.....

.....Kiera SilverStone, my Ice wizard! (Silver sounded icy, and Stone just sounded nice with it.) In the days when resist was everything, she just plowed her way through the game, passing up her sister Fiona, and even Tara for a while.

Then came the ShadowCaster girls; Sabrina, Samantha and Sierra. Their last name reflects that they were created to be placeholders plus extra storage. (This was years before any Shadow spells were introduced in the game.) They all leveled up enough to buy houses and collect Daily Assignment rewards, plus do some gardening and a bit of crafting.

Sabrina is my fashion-conscious Death wizard with an awesome house. Samantha loves to show off her Balance school colors, and Sierra rocks purple clothing in a tribute to my original Storm wizard.
