Why is Wizard101 Central

When I first joined central the members were very generous with hatching (and that was when they had to pay to help you hatch)

I know the kiosk has really cut into the hatches

but ive asked for a couple pets without receiving any responses

Ive even offered new pets without any takers

I dont understand since they now have the lend a pet which costs nothing

What is wrong with Wizard Central Members now it seems very few are even willing to help out

just depends if others see your post or not and if they need the pet that is offered

but the kiosk seems to have killed most of the motivation

I really do not have any of the newer pets are after, if someone posts something I have I would help.

I think a large part of it is that players don't frequently check here often. Part of it is also not many players knowing that central is a place people can go to for pet hatches, most individuals just use other third party platforms but don't think outside the box. Another part of it is for those looking for the newer pets, they might not answer to Wanted Threads because they don't have the pets themselves or perhaps they've found the pet they're looking through other means. Or perhaps players have too many pet projets, like I do lol

For me, I don't get on central nearly as often. I used to log in every day but now it is sometimes as long as once a month.
I am much busier irl than I used to be, so it is harder to do meet ups.
I find most of the new pets from friends on other platforms these days so once I finally log into central I don't need them.

It is also important to note that once your on a list that your interested, be sure to check your PM regularly and answer in kind. Once you have the attention of the thread poster, unless there is something that alerts them like a PM, they really have no idea of your still interested.

For those who are in a wait list, if you find someone else that you have a successful hatch with let us know so that we can move the offer up to the next person in line.

I can safely say that my playing time, has greatly reduce due to my new job. I am also helping with lends with fellow friends and hatchers that I have met up in the game.

I have helped here and there on Central, the thing that has happened, the few times I have offered to help with body types, the requester has not responded back in a timely manner to not responding back at all. Which makes me....


I had even made a post in offering lend to those here on Central, but I had no takers. So, it's really not us not being generous, it's just how things have changed and timing.

its probably because people have been quitting wizard101 because there making the game so pay to win now with all the new spellement changes and making pvp only lvl 40+ a lot of people that had fun doing pvp at lvl 20 - 30 have quit and they keep changing everything. some people like the changes some dont but here on central i hardly ever see people really on here much anymore so that could be one of the reasons you never get replies.

I'll agree what others have already said - I think it's a combination of a few factors....

1. Less traffic here on Central. Wish it weren't true but Central has lost a ton of views to social media and...other...platforms. The Wiki still sees lots of hits but the forums are a fraction of what they were even a few years ago

2. With the incentive to lend and the Kiosk as a resource, it's not too hard to find what you need without posting on the forum. As such, I think (at least for me) some of us simply forget it's a place that people go to for help.

As @Caspeen pointed out, Central doesn't have as many people posting anymore. When I first joined, if you would look at the "Members Online" area, there would be dozens and dozens of members online and loads of topics discussed. Now days, when I look in that area if I see a dozen names, it's a busy day and most postings seem to come from the same half a dozen members.
