A pet Milestone - 1000 different pets

If ever there was proof that KI is doing a really poor job on focusing on what is truly important....



....the fact that there are soooooo many pets is ridiculous. Despite all the glitches in the game that KI never seems to have time to address, somehow there are two things you CAN count on KI for - more pets and more useless bundles.

Anyway, I know this milestone isn't terribly rare as Pet Collectors abound but I was curious to know how many folks have more than 1000. Or, more than 1008 perhaps?

For what it's worth, I think the 8 I'm missing are ones that I'll never get - crazy rare pets (the Sheep, Friendly Dragon) and glitched pets (like the Daisy Lumi.) that aren't hatchable. Unless maybe I missing something....

Congrats. I actually have a large first generation pet collection, kind of gave up when all the pets became crowns though, hatching pets is not as fun or interesting.

At this point, Ki should gift you a Sheep pet anyways lol I vaguely remember the friendly dragon, or was it the summer dragon that I'm thinking of... that's wayyyyy back

It just dawned on me that you have almost all the information needed to finally get KI to correct the pet tome. I know for a fact that several first gens are in hybrids and vice versa. Things like this just bug me, why I gave up on monstrology.

Yes, the tomb is a mess and I what gets me is that there are pets that are exclusive, and it says they are not part of the pet tomb total, but in fact that they are.

I did a total count and tomb total I have one figure while school specific I am one off compared from the pet tomb total.

Start Pets aka + pets are counted in the pet tomb totals, but in school specific totals they are not added.

Hybrids have their own list going, but they are already listed under school specific pets.....not a big deal, but it can be confusing to those who are trying to figure out how to read it all.

Gotta say, this is KILLING ME - what am I missing?
With the new Peacock and the Beastmoon pet, I'm at 1002 out of 1008, so I'm missing 6.

The ones I know about....

1. Sheep. Duh.
2. Pioneer Dragon - given to Beta players and sold by Zeke way back when.
3. Friendly Dragon - promo for inviting a friend

The ones I'm not sure about? Not sure if these ones actually count in the 1008 or not, but I'm missing them

4. Daisy Lumi. - Glitch pet, not to be confused with the pet with the same name without the ".", the Daisy Lumi
5. Buddy Dragon - I have the hybrid version and not the retired one, but not sure if it's possible to have two entries in the tome?
6. the "other" Bunny Mallow - I know at least one person who has two Bunny Mallows in their Tome.

The "mythical" one I never had but aren't counted...anywhere.
The Storm Frostzilla - no, not the Icezilla, but the Frostzilla that was dropped by the Silver Sentinel for a brief period of time. There was a thread about this recently that had definitive proof that this pet used to exist, but KI eventually changed these pets to the Ice Frostzilla we can all get today. Whether you had the original Storm Frostzilla or not, this pet doesn't exist today and there is only one Frostzilla in the Tome and it's Ice.

OK, so that last one is a bit of a red herring.

Oh, and it's possible that the 1008 includes a pet that hasn't been released yet....

Regardless, please help fellow Pet Collectors - what are the last 3?! @sunshine13, @Bailey Jade, @phantomslick7272 - I know you all have almost identical collections with only the smallest variations - surely we can figure it out once and for all!

I think there are pets that are not discovered. I recall within the past year, during one of the KI Live, it was mentioned.
@Sparck @Eric Stormbringer can you confirm this? Are there pets that we have not discovered?
