What should Ki tell us about drops?

What should Ki tell us about drops? Is it really the Central Wiki's responsibility (and that of the members that regularly update the wiki with their drops) to tell us what bosses or mobs drop or should Ki be responsible for telling us directly to players what they put in the drop tables of various features within the game since they put them in there in the first place?

I just feel like Ki should confirm the drops of items rather than we having to find out for ourselves. Especially considering that Ki has recently (and likely more frequently) changed where specific items dropped, like now not all of the Merciless gear drops from the Final bosses of Lemuria but Ki never told us about it in their update notes.

Not to mention another example, the Outlaw's Refuge items are dropping from the Peppergrass Glen gift card bundle house rather than the items that were provided from that gift card, which shows that drops are not entirely consistent within an older trend.

I think it would help players a lot that if they're trying to get a specific item but they're unsure whether or not it drops there, that it would be nice for Ki to simply say for certain x drops from y so that those players are not uncomfortable with the feeling they're wasting their time trying to get an item that's not even possible to get from where they're farming. And the word of mouth of players is not always correct. Somebody out there has all of the answers (and that would be Ki) but they don't want to tell us?

I'm not saying that they should disclose secret information like drop rates or the drop amount calculations, something they might receive backlash from the community, we just want clarity on the drops themselves.

I am curious to know if KI mentioned the fact that they have added numerous "Spellements" as reagents in some of the battles. My grandson and I both have been running level 30 death and Ice wizards and it seems they are getting more spellements than any other reagents.

Suffice it to say, as soon as we finish a battle we clear out every single one. We don't and won't use them and it is getting to be a bit TOO MUCH. We each get at least 5+ after almost every boss battle. One or two now and then are ok, but not this many. My main wizards rarely every get them but even if they did, I would be dumping them as fast as I get them.

I can understand that but for our puny little level 30 wizards, getting so many from a single battle is getting a bit much. Frankly, I would prefer to have normal reagents or KI to at least back off a bit. a few here and there may not be so bad, but not what we have been getting. I guess I should say now level 36 since both wizards just finished Big Ben and we got more than I care for.


Side Note: If nothing else, let us trade or sell them to those who do want them.

I like the current system that they have, where they tell you where you can get an item (as long as you are able to inspect it on someone). They definitely can make it better though; limited-time items tend to not get a source description, which I find irritating. Even if I can't get it anymore, I'd like to know where it came from at least. But aside from that, I think that an issue with their current system is that I can't fully trust the information that they put in the inspection menu because I have no idea how often they drop (to see if it's worth farming for it at all).

It would be better if there were a less arbitrary guide to rarity and they let us know the rarity of some highly sought-after items. They already have descriptions in the packs: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic. If they could tack on that information to some drops, I'd appreciate that. For example, they might include "Merciless Death Boots (Uncommon)" or something like that. Ideally, they put something in the spellbook "guides" that tell us rough percentages of these rarities. "Common" tells me nothing—it could be anywhere from 40% to 90% and I would have no idea.

Maybe giving us too much information about loot drops and their rates ruin the "magic" or "fun" of the game. That's an opinion I totally understand, but I really wish there was a bit more transparency on this.

Here is my take on drops, regardless of the "drop rate", random is random, and you will get what you get when you get it. I try not to keep track, knowing it took me 200 runs to get something does not help my state of mind. Once you get whatever, you move on.
