As I write this, I have my coffee in one hand and a plate of still warm homemade brownies. As I play the game, the thought comes up that just like my cherished treat of brownies and coffee does its work and helps me feel better and relax; is there any one moment in W101 that is also something that I still cherish to this day.

Sure, we all cherish the many friends we made and the adventures we all had together; but is there something extra special that still gives you a moment of rest and pleasure in the memories of that special thing.

For me, that was the satisfaction I got when our Wizards graduated from Ravenwood. The way KI handled that moment really did feel special as it made me remember all the things and adventures that lead up to it.

With all the "questionable" things that have happened to our beloved game recently, I think we could all use a trip down memory lane. So there it is, the reason for this thread; I invite you to take a trip down memory lane and find that special memory, and share it with us to help us feel better.

My trip down memory lane is a very short one, but I agree with you.
The unexpected graduation is my favorite memory. I’m not sure that memory is the correct word as I graduated only three weeks ago.
However I was thrilled and I took many screenshots of that day. When I’m not actually questing, I wear the cap and gown all through the spiral. I’m as proud as if I’d had a real life graduation.

When we release Old Cobb in the Hive, Khrysalis. Lol that was such a bad idea

Idk though any particularly influential moments as I've played the game, like anything that really changed me. Maybe when I got 3rd PvP Warlord but I didn't like the process that came with it in the slightest. Plenty of good moments though like the Arcanum stuff since that higher-level magic stuff is pretty cool. The start of the Cabal stuff, I like spy things and traitorous cults. I'm not a big fan of the Graduation stuff as you all are since I don't enjoy celebrations and rewards, I really just go passed that.

I haven't logged on in a long time even though I check in here now and then, but you made me go back through some memories. My favorite was when double gardening came out. I was my mom's caretaker and Wizard was my escape. I had fun setting an alarm for early or staying up late to get the timing on harvests and then replanting, which was one seed at a time. I had a little something fun to look forward to and planting was my meditation time. It made a big difference in my life.

Thanks for bringing it up and letting me relive that piece of nostalgia.

One of my absolute favorites was discovering the starfish, and getting spell-proof and spritely on it. It delighted me to no end. And then came the amazing groups like Giant Hunters, Mercanaries, Pet Central, and the group that helped people get max stat pets, as well as the one that helped people get the pet with all 5 trap cards.

So many people put amazing effort into elevating other's play experience. Truly amazing stuff, and so much less common than it has ever been.

I'd have to agree with Dylan. Khrysalis had some amazing set pieces. The buildup to Old Cobb was very well done, and it even includes one of my favorite game lines:

"It was the Rat captain that brought you here, to the Black Hole. With his promise of power over the Shadow Queen. His promise of a secret weapon. But did you forget... Rats lie!"

Ominous as heck. It made me legitimately terrified.

But a somewhat earlier memory also comes to mind.

If anyone remembers the Starfall Sea instance where the player must ride a giant monster across the sea then that is what I'm talking about. I specifically remember it because the final fight against three Deep Spawn (soloing that is) was really difficult. I had just managed to pull it out because of some useless treasure card attacks I had thrown into my deck. That was probably the most accomplished I've ever felt in the game, and the atmosphere made it so much more epic.

Also fighting Cyrus Drake in the Myth Tower before Dragonspyre. Oh I wish we could see him not holding back on beating up innocent kids, like I wanna see those somehow 20pip 10 Shadow pip Spells that the Ravenwood Professors probably know. Or at least showcase them rather than gaming obliterated by them.

I'm going to go with triumphant moment . For me that was beating Belloq solo as a balance wizard. At the time I was mostly playing solo but running with my sisters for the hard fights. Well for whatever reason they were busy and I really wanted to keep questing. It took me about 10 tries but I did it. I remember the victory I felt back then sometimes when I am questing now and it keeps me going.
