Are you a competitive player?

Everybody's talking about how W101 is trying to transition mainly towards the competitive format and it definitely looks like it as Non-PvP gear (like the gear dropped by the newest housing gauntlet) is reminiscent of what is desired from PvP players but this thread isn't talking about that, this thread is talking about you!

Are you a competitive player? Can you ever see yourself as one?

I used to be very competitive back in 3rd Age PvP but I think that killed the drive for me and now I'm not competitive at all in any sense. It's true that I will go out of my way to get the best gear like Dragoon or Merciless but that really comes down to just being powerful enough to not struggle as much when I'm trying to help other players in PvE. I don't particularly enjoy the feeling of making the lives of others worse off because I've taken away something from them and at the core, that's what competition is. Anyhow I'm definitely way too chill, somewhat unbothered, to deal with PvP

Nope, not even a smitch -- I'd much rather help and support than battle and defeat. I guess that's why I'm so happy playing a Life Wizard.

Oh no, I'm what you'd call a casual player. I don't PVP or Beastmoon, though I have tried the Deckathlon a time or two and find I didn't care for it much, though I will still dabble at it occasionally.

I prefer to PVE, garden, train pets and definitely craft. I do enjoy playing with others but rarely team up because of household situations. I'm not liking the way the game is taking towards being more competitive but I still find things about it to keep me interested.

I’ll even shy away from situations that seem the least bit competitive.

I remember playing with my kids and that was the way I liked it then too. It was just sort of magical.

And like @Jonathan Greenflame I also consider myself a casual player. I don’t like PVP and did Beastmoon a few times.
Real life is competitive playing Wizard101 relaxing.

I am more than just a casual player. Having 3 active accounts with 8 max wizards and most of the lower wizards being 70 or higher, with the best gear and pets, I prefer for my playing style.

However, I have retired from PVP and I do NOT like beastmoon, so I hope that that the games does not go in that direction.

Nope! I do not like pvp and nothing KI does will ever make me reconsider. The only thing I do that is competitive is beastmoon. I like mayhem better because it fells more cooperative than competitive to me. Regular is too competitive with the teams but I play it anyway for the lunari. Besides that I garden, make pets, and quest very slowly.

I did the math on premier league, and it has 35% all players with a winning record. (Above a 1500 points what you started at) While the master league is at 24% for pvp. If you continue at that pace. It will be become very exclusive group. If ki is trying to get new players that is not a very good way to get more players. You need a better bell curve.

Not in any way, shape or form. I tried PvP years ago and didn't like it and that is why I refused to do it even for the Participation Trophies. Beastmoon just didn't interest me. I am a very casual player, don't have all the best gear but do try to get what the game drops that is fairly good. I am one of those that needs a bit of help now and then but since I dual box, I can usually get through sooner or later.
