It's true! New ingredient appears to be the Extra Large Fish Cart.

This really isn't a great alternative though, since the Extra Large Fish Cart is only dropped by a retired Pack.. Is there any chance that this could be changed @Arthur Wethersfield? Maybe this item could be switched out with a piece of gear dropped by The Rat..?

I just noticed that the participation trophies have been removed from the revered wand recipes and been replaced with 45 flying squid ink.

just opened my tab. The 45 flying squid was always there. the only thing they did was remove the participation trophies. that many flying squid was harder for me to get than participation trophies.

also as far as getting flying squid ink before wizards can get to Empyrea. Best solution is to have them drop in gardening. And to make it easier on KI just add it to existing plant like

You know, I really love this game! But I have to say that this last destructive update has been very disheartening!! It seems like they played pin the tail on the donkey for the whole darn thing....I have never been one to complain when things happened in the game before!! But this is too much...I have 4 accounts and have paid alot of money for the playing of this game since I believe around 2011.These changes made, like this absurd crafting thing I can not understand! I feel right now like they(Devs or whatever) do not care if I play the game or not. Making it more difficult is ok but this kind of stupidity is really too much for me. I am a Senior player who has faithfully paid for membership for all those years and it means nothing to them. I have made wonderful fiends and recommended this game to many people. Too be treated with this disrespect is so hurtful. Someone please, in the teams that create the content, change the way things are going. I fear a lot of players feel the same way I do. My only choice is to leave this game that means so much to me.

That's a lot better. I'm not particularly sure about having them require Flying Squid Ink since this is a quest we get in Polaris and Flying Squid Ink is from Empyrea. Having a quest that you can't complete for the next two worlds is going to feel pretty bad for people who want to complete their quests ASAP.

The best solution would be to use a reagent that dropped from Polaris bosses specifically, like a version of Flying Squid Ink for Polaris. But no such reagent exists. I don't want to suggest something like Agave or Stardust either because a big thing about the reagents for this crafting quest were that they came from new and different sources, so a reagent that you can just walk around and get wouldn't quite fit in that theme. But then again, neither does Flying Squid Ink, so might as well.

The Revered Crafter badge was introduced with Emyprea part I along with the new reagents. I'm not sure why you think we got it in Polaris? Am I really misunderstanding something here? I went back and looked up the game updates for Empyrea to make sure. I know I can get confused sometimes

there were no crafting quests in polaris. Mirage there was with the first Arcanum staves. and the new reagents were there for that staff.and with this staff you need to craft the staff that needs the 45 FSI.

Thank you, I really appreciate it that now both you and @Arthur Wethersfield have spoken up; but now I hope you can "persuade" the others to stop using band-aids so they can ignore the problems and try to find ways to take our money, and instead focus more time on fixing things in the first place. All these issues were listed in bug reports while IN test realm. Why rush out a faulty product only to waste more time and money to fix it AFTER it goes live? I mean really, if you don't fix the bugs in test, what is the purpose of a test in the first place?

It's time to stop trying to cover up past mistakes with new (faulty) "Updates" and stead focus on fixing and securing the very foundation the entire game sits on...or are the devs to busy sitting on something else...like their hands so they can't do any real productive work. I would also like to know when (If ever) @Ratbeard will come out of hiding and do something productive to help the players.

Well that's at least an improvement. The stupid participation trophies and what they represented were literally the reason I stopped crafting.

Update on the Flying Squid Reagent requirement- I spoke to the Designer in charge of the recipe and he noted that the weapon that requires the flying squid ink is given at the level where players are in Empyrea as the final part of a multi-part quest that spans several worlds. Thus the flying squid ink reagent is appropriate and will not be changed at this time.

I would be nice to have a more appropriate reagent. Although I did have just enough Flying Squid Ink to complete the quest on both of my Lvl 136 Fire and Life wizards this past weekend.

I do agree with others that we should be able to complete these crafting quests within the world they were first given.
