Run for your Life - a Derby tournament (no, really!)

Hey all,

I know that I've been quiet for...well...too long, but after the last two tournaments flamed out in the finals - IN THE FINALS! - I thought Derby had hit a low. After taking some time off to contemplate where to go with Derby, I thought that I'd tie the next tournaments to the release of the 5th age of PvP (Derby is PvP!). After all, new Ages are usually a great time to get races as everyone tries to rank up and who among us doesn't need a little practice.

Well...most folks know how THAT went - the 5th age is out and Derby Ranks are now a thing of the past.

Unbelievable.

While I know that the future of Derby in game looks pretty bleak, I'm still not sure what that means for Derby here. As already mentioned, Derby tournaments here had already been....underwhelming....so is there any point to even having tournaments here? Or, is the opposite true - since there are no more ranked races in game, now is the time to give people a place to do some competitive racing.

Decisions decision - what to do...

Well, to help make that decision, I'm opening a new tournament - Run for your Life!

In the past tournaments were opened on a cycle, going from Teen to Adult to Ancient to Epic to Mega and back again. However, since it's been a while since any tournament has been finished, and I'm not sure where best to kick things off, this tournament is people who have a few levels to choose from.

The format is simple - player 1 picks a level to race, Teen - Epic. The loser of that race will then pick any other level to race. If each wins one race then the tie breaker is a CHEER only race!

Easy! FUN!

So, who is in?! Not to say that the future of Derby on Central is in the balance, but if things go well then there will be more to come. If not...ACK, maybe the future is on the line!!!

Come one everyone, let's show KI that people DO like Derby and let's race!

Hmmm....is NO one interested in racing? Since KI has given up on ranked derby where else are you gonna have a chance to test your Derby skills?

I would join but I know absolutely nothing about Derby, whether or not I have any good derby pets or whatnot is good. I don't particularly think I have any skills whatsoever but hey if you want me to join, I will lol I would get completely squashed though
