Update to Loremaster's Spell Drops

The Spring 2022 update says that most spells from Loremaster have been removed and converted into spellements. According to wiki user 707boss, he has found a complete list of spellements she now drops, but no spells. However, I have heard a lot of second hand reports that the Loremaster spell is still being dropped (and at a somewhat frequent rate). I'd also like to add that the update notes say that these spellements will also be moved to other bosses at a later date (see pic).



That's a really rough update. It is my opinion that we should completely axe Loremaster's spell drop table until each spell that is still there is reconfirmed. I don't know what to do about Reindeer Knight and Headless Horseman however. Thoughts?

I farmed a bit yesterday since my friend was doing it and I always join what my friends are doing lol I hate that I have to farm this boss again for Spiritual Tribunal but I suppose it was inevitable that this is how I would have to learn that spell. Anyhow, the Spellement drop rate is unsurprisingly horrible, I only received a single Spellement every 2-3 runs and it's clear that getting enough to upgrade any single spell would take several months. I think overall this is a good idea because it allows players to farm the boss on a single wizard since Spellements are transferable using the shared bank but the reality of it is that the drop rate and drop amount is so insignificant that it's practically just as impossible to ever learn a specific spell.

The fact that Loremaster did not receive a Spellemental Upgrade Path in this update would indicate that the whole spell still drops! All of the other Lore spells now have upgrade paths too. Also, so much for KingsIsle moving away from the lazy and plain flat damage Spellemental upgrades..

That or they made Loremaster impossible to learn, which they have reasons for since ever since it has released the spell Loremaster has caused problems for PvP and could make it seem as though Balance wizards have an unfair advantage in the battlefield. The last thing Ki wants is there to be more problems in PvP and I think making spells like Loremaster impossible to learn is not outside the possibilities Ki is willing to take. But then again, I still have Loremaster in my collection so I suppose that cannot be true since that would make an unfair advantage to those that have already learned the spell. I'm just saying that one way Ki may be trying to improve the image of PvP could be covering their "mistakes" in their past.

Anyhow not making a Spellement track for Loremaster makes sense since it would spell disaster for PvP and I know some people out there would legitimately farm Loremaster to the ends of the spiral, day after day, to fully upgrade that spell in order to have to win at Ranked PvP. But at the cost of PvE as Loremaster has never really shined in battling mobs/bosses and I think having the spell dish out larger damage would significantly help its usefulness and popularity in PvE (setting aside the impossible means to fully upgrade the spell or even upgrade the spell once). Loremaster needs an upgrade for PvE but because of PvP, it's unlikely to happen...

This is an issue that the Wiki Masters have been trying to resolve, among so many other changes from the recent Game Update.

I tagged some of the other Wiki Masters, so that they can add comments about this.

We don't plan to "axe" any Lists from the Wiki pages. Even though the drop table has changed, there are other ways to handle this

I actually like the "Note" that you included in your post. That could be a "temporary" solution for the Loremaster page for now. ??

Not sure which way to go, so hopefully the other Wiki Masters will reply here.
