How to get World Spellements (1/3)

At low levels, you can get them from Bosses scattered in worlds Krokotopia through Dragonspyre

To obtain a spellement this way, you must have not completed the NEXT world. For example, you can farm Krokotopia until you complete Marleybone

How to get World Spellements (2/3)

At ALL Levels, you can get them from Wooden Chests in worlds from Wizard City through Dragonspyre by using the Spellement Retriever Pet Talents.

These talents will be on the new Beastmoon Pets and must be unlocked using special tokens.

How to get World Spellements (3/3)

At ALL levels, you can get them by finding Cantrip Chests in worlds Marleybone through Dragonspyre.

Casting Magic Touch on these chests give you spellements SPECIFIC to that world. You will need 2 additional friends to open these with you.

sooo i have to train a pet and get spellements (seems it got nerfed)
or SPEND 15 ENERGY for 2 random spellements oh does anyone other than me feel like getting violence no? ok just smile.....

and test is hitting live, i really feel like its not ready for when i was on test but they know best

So does anyone else have issues with this "wonderful" collection of "great" ideas in this test realm? I wonder if what they are really testing is just how far they can push us...

So the spellwrighting "audit" basically changed nothing. Spellements are going to remain a pitifully slow and inaccessible system aside from buying packs. Great.
I don't know what I was expecting at this point.

I've pretty much gotten all of my Spellements from Event rewards and traded them to the appropriate school wizards. I'm just going to keep playing as I normally do, and if Spellements fall into my lap, that's fine. Other than actually using them to unlock a spell, the changes allowed by collecting Spellements don't seem to be much of a difference, anyway.

I would've been fine if the only difference between high-levels and low-levels was that high-level wizards didn't get Spellements from quest rewards because they already did that quest. After all, if you're way past these worlds then it should be even faster to farm for them. Fortunately for me I have been too lazy to level up all my characters, and have two wizards who are still into Krokotopia (hooray for not playing the game!!!) This restriction seems like it's specifically tailored to make people with a complete roster of max wizards buy a 7th Character Elixir.


Spiritual Retriever doesn't exist yet, but it will finally be added soon. Having to go around hunting Wooden Chests will be like reagent farming, except for Reagents you needed to collect way less and you often would get extras. Whereas with Retrievers you need several hundred in order to fully upgrade a spell, you can get the wrong Spellements, Wooden Chests are not nearly as common as reagents, you need to keep your pet happy, and on top of all of that you sometimes won't get any Spellements even when you do everything right.


And the 3-person chest that costs 15 energy for only like 2 Spellements? No. Absolutely not. This is so bad that it might as well not exist. Unless you're the kind of person who always has their energy maxed by the time you log in, then the energy you spend on these is energy that you will not have tomorrow. Spend too much, and you can't maintain your gardens. So in order to be courteous to your friends and fellow wizards, you would need to shrink your gardens. With a system like this as well as two entire worlds where we had no increase in energy, I can't help but think that this is KI trying to nerf gardening without directly nerfing gardening (because they know that would have an even bigger backlash).

My response to the Twitter thread is as followed:

The decision to level, talent & energy gate obtaining spellements & then having a very low amount drop when you do get them is a very bad idea & feels less average consumer friendly & more whale friendly. Please reconsider this approach as right now it's very clearly a misstep.

What's stopping me from using my 7th character slot to make a new character and farm with a high level friend? I'll have an easier time getting them than those who have all their character slots occupied. I don't understand the restriction.

And to top it off, you will likely need a few spiritual retriever tokens to unlock the talent, and the drop rate for those will be very low (much like elemental retriever tokens are).

Why is it so dificult to add spellements to the loot table of the final boss in every world??? Even if it is not a warrantied drop, spellements shouldn't have to be so difficult to find. I wish KI consider add some to wodden, stone, or gold key bosses. I believe the spellements system is good, but the implementation of how to obtain them, at this time, is bad. We need more bosses other than Loremaster to farm.
