      Crowns Code Ban

      I received a chain-link ban on my W101 accounts, and i'm assuming that it was due to redeeming the crowns code on them. I understand why a system like this would be in place; however, I believe that in my case it was not able to differentiate between somebody who made a bunch of alts to get crowns and someone who just has a lot of accounts and plays the game a lot.
      My accounts were banned for this, and while at first glance you might look at the idea of someone redeeming a code on so many accounts and think of them as just abusing a system with faults, I would protest that if you understand why these accounts exist you would be more likely to realize there was no malicious intent behind this.

      I will do a very simplified recap of each account to the best of my ability without making this post too lengthy:
      account1 - max fire, max death, max storm (lots of gametime, $$$, items, recently bought member)
      account2 - max storm (lots of gametime, $$$)
      account3 - max death, ice (lots of gametime, probably nearing thousands of dollars spent)
      account4 - level 70 ice (has membership as well)
      account5 - purely made for farming house gauntlets
      account6 - tc trading account(also has a lot of gametime farming house gauntlets)
      account7 - 2nd tc trading account (also has a lot of gametime farming house gauntlets)

      Also, I do understand someone might bring up that the tc trading accounts are questionable and it looks like I just put a random reason. But if any KI employee feels like investigating my case further they can find that there is truth to these statements with these accounts having many common trading items like empowers. Additionally, I did in fact need an account solely for farming house gauntlets as I could not use any accounts past level 5 for things like accursed play gauntlets.

      In my opinion, I don't consider this punishment of permanently banning all of my accounts appropriate and quite frankly i've spent legitimately over 100x what I earned from these codes which amounted to less than $5 of crowns. Furthermore, through researching this topic it has been brought to my attention that the devs are very helpful towards players banned for this; however, I have emailed support and have not received the same sympathy and helpfulness that the devs have given to other players.

      Extra Info:I don't wanna publicly post my usernames for obvious reasons, but If I could privately message them to a developer this would be the ideal result. I've played the game for a decade with no problems and i'm just trying to enjoy my christmas break on wiz without having to deal with things like this. I've also made a new support ticket to see if anything can be done to my current situation.

      I'm not 100% sure if this is the exact place to post something like this, but i've seen other users have success posting it here.

      I don't really understand this. The only stipulation for redeeming the codes was that the accounts had to have been created before a certain date.

      Hopefully someone at KI will get back to you, and clarify for everyone.

      I'm confused. Are you assuming the reason you were banned? Or do you actually know the reason that support gave you? Those can be two very different things.

      Technically a little bit of both. Support told me that I was banned for using an exploit, and when I tried to get them to follow up with some sort of explanation I was ignored. I have to assume that it was due to the crowns code for several reasons; the timing is way too close(within the same day), i don't exploit(obviously only I can attest to this but what can we do), and there is a history of KI banning for redeeming the crowns codes on multiple accounts.

      To my understanding, there is an automatic system in place to ban w101 accounts that redeem the crowns codes past a certain threshold. However, I along many others have no clue what this threshold is; whether it be how many accounts you redeem it on in a singular IP address or the rate at which you redeem the codes. But then this creates a new issue, if someone is banned for redeeming it on lets say 10 accounts, is it fair to not punish the person who did it on 9? Even then, can you blame the players when you don't set any rules to abide to? I understand why a system like this is in place, as some people will just make 50 accounts and then mass-redeem on them in hopes of hitting 60k; yet to me this seems very very different from someone redeeming it on 7 real accounts made for different purposes and long before the crowns code event.

      Also, I tried to respond a while ago and it got monitored for some reason so lets hope this one goes through!

      Last year many of my friends got banned for this and I'm so disappointed in KingIsle for not fixing this issue. I really hope we can get you unbanned. Hopefully @Sparck will be able to help you out. I know I would be panicking if something happened to my precious wizards!
      These are indeed some sad times, especially with the new strand of the virus. Can't even play the Wizard Card Game no more!

      I contacted the support already, but i'm just taking my chances on here because the support doesn't even like attempt to look into the case and i'm hoping if a dev saw this post they would at least check it out. Ty for the good luck though, every little bit helps.

      I hate to play devils advocate but have we not all learned?

      There's reasonable limits to most things... this (most obviously) is one of them, we had quite an uproar last year for discounts reason, it echoes to me we're not giving them enough grace to take the "lesson learned" when they have released accounts in the past.

      We can't keep doing the same actions and expecting a different result when they've made it clear that it's an intentional ban should someone go overboard (with anything)

      Yes, vague "What is overboard." but let's think some logic, 3 accounts? No that's two siblings and mom for all they know, what's the max of a family account? "a total of 5 linked accounts" It's pretty safe to assume 5 per household/IP seems reasonable.

      Beyond that your own risk.
